Lesnar back in the early 2000's was a beast(hence the name) and that match with Angle was amazing, and you can't have an amazing match between 2 guys without crediting both of them.

Did you just get off a ban or something? What's with all the pseudo-thread necros?

Also, I THINK it was the main event, but at X8; The Rock vs Hulk Hogan. May not be the best match from a technical stand point but the sheer excitement and seeing those 2 in the ring and the crowd. Simply electric.

It's called a quarantine and being bored.

It probably should have been, but it wasn't the main event. Triple H vs. Jericho for the Undisputed Championship was the main event.

Oh yeah you're right. The match everyone remembers though is The Rock v Hogan.

For the longest time I said that Rock Austin at WM17 was my favourite ever match, until CM Punk and John Cena took the spot in 2011. If I think about emotional investment in an actual match, I would say that the Triple Thread at WM30 would be the best main event match, both for being a great performance but also for how truly invested I was in Daniel Bryan.

It could be argued that both WM1 and WM3 are the most significant matches though. WM1 is responsible for Wrestling becoming a mainstream form of entertainment. If that show never took place, we likely wouldn't be discussing wrestling right now. WM3 is what led to the spectacle of the ultimate main event, which every show has tried to emulate since. It's not enough to just have a championship match be the final match, the most compelling match is what will end the night which we have seen at WM26, WM27 and WM 33 and even last night at WM36-Day1.
