You're suggesting they can get the technology to harvest their farms. The ones that have harvest dates in a few days.

    Okay.

With what money? Trump directly attacked the farm industry, and they're going bankrupt left and right. Also, he personally jacked up the cost of the machinery with his tariffs. Your article is from 2018 and is not relevant to the harvest coming due now. And no, it's not "a few anecdotes lol" it's a systematic move at the top level.

    - - - Updated - - -

    So let's review.

Trump, Mr. Only I Can Fix It, has spent a lot of the last few years basically randomly firing people and sometimes replacing them (sometimes not) with people who pledge their loyalty, regardless of qualifications.

Then, a crisis happens, and the person who declared themselves in charge of absolutely everything is unable to handle it by handwaving, golfing, and tweeting. Because the leadership and qualifications of the rest of his team is also reduced, there's no clear plan to handle the crisis.

Desperate and floundering, Trump changes the person in charge of the crisis from Azar (who was apparently in charge back in January, I must have missed that story, but, apparently he was put in charge Jan 30 and declared a health emergency Jan 31, so, I don't see any problem here) to Pence (who ran a state, so maybe not the best choice, but at least it makes sense) in February, to Kushner (a real estate guy with no governing, lawmaking, medical or crisis experience) who immediately retroactively took the stockpile and started handing out expired or moldy equipment.

As the deaths mount -- yes, we're over 1,000 a day now, that's pretty horrifying -- states are making deals with each other and apparently with China now, since help is either not coming or cannot be counted on. Fauci and the Surgeon General are doing end-runs around Trump to inform the public directly. With no national stay-at-home order, a bungled business loan launch, relief checks that could take 20 weeks, seizure of equipment shipments and even Pence could be threatened by the poor rollout, there's only one thing that needs to be said:

It’s one person coming in from China. We have it under control. It’s going to be just fine

Not nearly enough to fill the demand for labor. That's why illegal immigration exists, because there are people willing to do the job. God bless the free markets.

Let's not forget the geographic issues. My next-door neighbor is unemployed, but not only could he not make it to Georgia to pick squash in a few days, NYState would arrest him if he tried. Yes, people normally move to follow a job. These are not normal times.

Seeing as 73% of all farm laborers are immigrants or migrant workers, I'd say that the scanty few americans that will do the jobs will not sufficiently cover it.

It's been tried before. It's failed every. Single. Time.

It shouldn't be the least bit surprising that Trump is returning to form and doing what he loves doing most: whining about his grievances and attacking people who have slighted him. So much for his declarations that 'now is not the time for politics', not that anyone with a functioning brain cell believed he was sincere.

It'd be nice if Pence and the cabinet would invoke the 25th Amendment and send this dementia patient to a nursing home. That's how low Trump has set the bar when Mike Pence would be a leadership improvement.

alot of optimism because for reasons beyond what I can fathom, people BELIEVED WHAT TRUMP SAID WITHOUT PROOF about Russia and SA being in talks, then are acting shocked when both have said they didnt

They were probably desperate for good news after a month of almost nothing but bad news and didn't care that the source of said 'good' news is a pathological liar.

While the world is focussed on battling the pandemic, Trump and McConnell seem to find extra energy to continue packing the courts with GOP judges. At least one of whom wants cuts in healthcare.

So we're familiar with that fact that the coronavirus bill does not allow Trump or his family to personally profit. Old news, he's fighting the oversight, but old news.

But if a company that loaned Kushner money sends an application?

"But Breccia! Kushner is a businessman. He has contacts with many businesses. Of course one would apply, duh."

Kushner, or Trump for that matter, having more conflicts of interest than most politicians doesn't change the fact that they're conflicts of interest. Oh, and the loan was in 2017, so that argument is completely useless.

In all likelihood, Apollo Global Management will probably get the loan, and it will be impossible to disprove that Kushner directed it. Or Trump, for that matter. Therefore, even if they did nothing wrong, this can and should come up when Trump tries "drain the swamp" again.

Hey, remember that time Trump accused Biden's son of --

"We get it. Trump is a bloated fatass hypocrite."

    Own the libs

    has officially morphed into

    "kill the libs"
based on trump directly preventing NY washington and cali to get masks and ventilators so he can give them to swing states for the 2020 election.

Was hillary being a little "too PC" really worth this to america??
well during the 2016 election when the whole "anti sjw" thing was the bees knees on the forums that seemed to be the ONLY thing people cared about. its stupid

Don't know how widespread it is, but Trump followers on breitbart are now capitalizing pronouns when referencing Trump.

This isn't only "kill the libs", 2.8 million people in NY voted for Trump. I would think they'd be just as pissed about withholding aid to NY as everyone else.

Oh I'm sure those 2.8 million are blaming Cuomo as the problem. The Republicans in Illinois are doing the same by blaming Prtizker.

Not just those states, the feds gave Illinois 300,000 of the wrong masks. Make sure all the doctors have no protection so all the people in Chicago die.

Stuff like this, I REALLY hope this pushes them to actually push for term limits and changes on how these judges are appointed. Like maybe have them be nominated by the Senators of the state instead of the president.

Really sad watching this nation and its children being fist fucked by people who cheer as they sell out their own kids pretending to know more than they do.

It's an hour early, but barring a major update, 8,488 is the new total. That's still hovering around +20%.

I know it's too early to see that all-important inflection point. But I keep checking.
