This new title ... Trump "Focused Discussion" .. lol
This is like when a NYT headline calls one of Trump's blatant lies, a "misunderstanding" or just a an "exaggeration".
When 100,000 are dead, can we call it a shitshow again?

Kerry is also a Purple Heart recipient. Yet, they already ran a lying campaign against him:

This is who these people are calling a traitor, to defend captain bone spurs.

Hate the name change to the thread title. Did it offend Trump?
I must say, to call a Purple Heart veteran a traitor, when defending a guy that is literally registered as a foreign agent of Turkey, is fucked up...
Yey, another lobbyist for a foreign nation is free to lobby for a foreign nation! Let’s see how many American heroes we can besmirch to make him look less repulsive.

So as the shitshow continues, we hear from the House committee specifically investigating Trump's "airtight" claims.
Big surprise: they're false.
So everyone in Team Trump is blaming everyone else. The probe found that Italian and South Korean officials were the ones conducting screenings after the State Department unveiled a requirement on March 3 that all returning passengers from those countries be screened for fever and other symptoms.
On March 14 Trump issued stricter travel restrictions. According to State Department data provided to the panel, only 13 passengers on direct flights from Italy and 56 from South Korea were stopped before boarding planes to the U.S. during the 11-day period.
The panel was unable to find out why the policy was only applied to direct flights from Italy and South Korea. A State Department official said it was a decision from CBP, though a CBP official denied that the agency had any role in that aspect of the policy implementation.
The White House deferred to the DHS and the State Department for comment. Both agencies did not immediately respond to inquires from The Hill.
During the height of Italy's outbreak, the US stopped one person per day. That's not shutting things down. That's barely even slowing things down. I'd be willing to bet, on any random 11 days of 2019, 13 people didn't come from Italy for random chance (like, canceled business trips).
Trump claims he shut things down and his fast action saved lives. When that was proven to be a lie, everyone in Team Trump tried to shift the blame.

Just the other day -- yesterday? -- Trump cut off a nurse saying "We don't have PPE" by saying "I've heard everyone else does".
Everyone else came to the WH to protest.
When reached for comment, the WH blamed the states. No, really. As per usual, Trump wants the credit when it's going well and shifts the blame when it is not.Nurses with the union National Nurses United stood outside the White House alongside pairs of empty shoes lined up to represent the nurses who died due to “insufficient PPE” during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"You talk about how essential, how needed, how grateful you are, and yet you throw us to the wolves,” Jean Ross, president of National Nurses United, told CNN in an interview. “You throw us out onto a battlefield without armor and the more we complain we don't see anything being done.”
All the power, no accountability. That's Trump's COVID success.
The entire article is good, but it's too big to quote the whole thing. Here's a good part from the middle.
Trump did not take action -- "It's just one person coming over from China, it's going to be fine" -- and instead forced the states to clean up his mess while he took the podium looking for applause. At least that part failed -- he was asked too many questions about his words and actions, attacked the press, and fled back to his room for two more scoops of ice cream while watching the few remaining hours of FOX News that still like him.Kushner believes the task force worked to streamline the federal response, while experts in disaster management and public health think the task force often hampered it. But from the perspective of mainlining authority to Trump and responsibility away from him, it was efficient.
Trump boasts that his actions spared millions of lives. His critics contend that his slow reaction drove the death toll higher.
One official familiar with the task force's supply chain unit said that Kushner, along with friends he recruited to work on the issue — dubbed "the children" inside the Federal Emergency Management Agency headquarters — "cost weeks" as they scrambled to recreate acquisition and distribution systems that already existed, often waiving federal rules along the way.
Adm. John Polowczyk, a defense logistics specialist, was tapped to shore up the supply chain with a group of officials from FEMA, HHS, the Defense Department and other agencies, as well as Kushner allies from inside and outside government. Polowczyk told his charges that he had been given a "blank check" by the White House to buy scarce supplies, from ventilators to millions of pieces of personal protective equipment.
Inside FEMA headquarters, bids were placed and contracts were written, often with so little vetting of the seller that contracting officials had to find ways to normalize the deals after they were made. One seller, who offered the federal government 100,000 body bags for $5.1 million, ended up losing the deal after it was awarded due to default, according to federal records. Time and again, rules requiring open bidding for federal contracts were set aside under emergency waiver authorities.
He wants to be hailed as a great man, without doing great things. That's not how it works.

Also, remind us both again which party is threatening to blow up police officers if they're kept home because of a virus outbreak that has killed tens of thousands of Americans?
It’s a nearly 3 year old thread. If Trump loses, the new name will last less time than the original. But... who cares... what’s in a name? Would a shitshow, by any other name, smell as shitty?
You are actually correct. There have been a couple of pro and against Trump threads pop up. I think mods are just tired of arguing for 3 years, that other threads don’t fit the context of a shitshow. If it makes their work a little easier, why not change it?

I look forward to the upcoming Biden thread -- because I sure as hell will be cross-referencing a whole lot of folks who give Trump a pass on everything and will whine about even the most minor of Biden's offenses.

New Russia Transcripts Appear To Show Schiff, Obama Officials Knew Trump Was Not Colluding With Russia
https://www.dailywire.com/news/new-r...ng-with-russiaHere is what former Obama officials testified to when asked during Schiff’s hearings if they had or had seen evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia:
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper: “I never saw any direct empirical evidence that the Trump campaign or someone in it was plotting/conspiring with the Russians to meddle with the election.”
Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power: “I am not in possession of anything—I am not in possession and didn’t read or absorb information that came from out of the intelligence community.”
Former National Security Adviser Susan Rice: “I don’t recall any intelligence or evidence to that effect.”
Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch: “I can’t say that it existed or not.”
Former Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes: “I saw indications of potential coordination, but I did not see, you know, the specific evidence of the actions of the Trump campaign.”
Damn that Trump for conspiring so openly.
Nope.
"We don't know" is not the same as "it didn't exist". Also, I'm source-shaming you. The DailyWire is not a good source of factual information.
