As a guy who visited China on many occasions for business, I'll tell you - it's a very literal capitalist dystopian world masked as communism.

If you have money AND keep your mouth shut about politics - you are a god there. You can literally effectively buy people there and pretty much almost in the open at that, as long as you share with some ranking official for cover.

Communism there exists for the poor. Other than that it's like capitalism turned up to over 9000.

Its no surprise really. Chinese classic wow players can't get to a high rank either as the PVP mafia is holding all the top bracket spots, and you have to do RMT to get a spot.

I'm no fan of China's practices and the general fuckery the government over there gets up to, but I'm always a bit worried by people chomping at the bit for China to bottom out and fail. Like... y'all do realize the absolute shitstorm of a domino effect China falling apart will have on the rest of the world, yeah? It'd make the 2008 crash look a lot less terrible than it ended up being. Welcome to what is effectively a hostage situation of big business's own making.

On-topic: While I really feel for China's playerbase who just want to play legitimately, this is unfortunately what happens when a company like Netease runs the show. They don't care so long as the payments keep clearing.

While there are multiple layers to this issue, Blizzard wanted to get into China for money. Which any company would do to increase profits. You'd be an idiot not to. Of course it's going to be a shit show, but at the end of the day the company made its money by then.

Made It's money from communists who kill and destroy anybody who doesn't agree with them. I hope blizzard enjoys their blood money. And you'd be a smart person NOT to invest in China, anything china related likely ties to the goverment which ties to the communists. It's their modern day way of taking control of the world, without any gunfire. All they need is money investments in every single corner of the world and they can tell anyone what to do. Because money is the world.

Once people start realizing China needs us more than we need them, that's when we'll win. It's sad Blizzard has to bend the knee to china, but then that's what happens when you bend the knee to Activision too. Not investing in China just for the money is called Integrity.

Imean It's a shame, I feel for Chinese players who just wanna play, so would I like to play if Blizzard weren't titnuggets about banning for minor issues that one can't predict will happen. All I'd say to that is Blizzard should pull Classic WoW from China and start making some big noise about not supporting China and not investing in China anymore... but, I seriously doubt that.

I guess I'll have to stay in ff14 and play my cat boi ninja instead, atleast that game doesn't wanna fudge me over.
