Well... all this debate made me realize that:
-We need an option that just remove transmog for the player, basically that make you unable to use transmog and show everyone else without transmog even if they do have full transmog on, that way both sides of the coin can be happy, and, even though IMHO, Transmog is the best thing they added to WOW, i would like to check out how most players normally actually look right now.
Yeah, I had about an hour to kill. Now that it's the same two or so people repeating the same flawed argument, I'll probably head off. Was fun for a while though, albeit a definite waste of my time trying to help these people see reason.

This is a good solution. Make transmog client-side so it only changes what the player sees and nobody else.
See THIS is the real issue. People who clearly don't do any high end content claiming they can clear everything with minimal effort. You are the problem, you are setting the bar on the ground, jumping over it, and saying "I have completed high jump, it's easy" while behind you others raise the bar higher and higher, pushing themselves harder until they reach their goal, and are rewarded.
I do understand that you would prefer a WOW without transmog, but i'm not sure why you think its not good for the game.
I mean... transmog push people to do a lot of content.
-old raids are more popular thanks to it
-people that are normally not interested in PVP or PVE may end up trying the mode for the sake of a transmog
-Make people look like part of the world, not just a random guy with a bunch of gear on
-Let people express themselves a little more and make sure not everyone looks the same
The only thing that you can say that transmog took away was the ability to recognize the "progress" of someone with a simple look (Not that it always worked but it did help)
You can't have everybody cater to what you want, I guess.
And nah, there's been good sets and bad sets before Cata and after Cata. Most hunter tiers are a good example.

Yeah, but we're talking bragging rights. The Ny'alotha mythic mount also looks like ass, but if you want to brag, you want to brag.
If you want to look good, you wear an armor set that looks good.
god knows, most of the people who hold his opinion turn out to be the old fake elitists who hung around in org with a couple pices of tier and fed of the naive levellers admiration, most quit at the start of cata because they isn't have actually have the skill to clear even a heroic, all there prestige disappeared, many got along for a while telling people how good they used to be and how hard vanilla tbc/wrath raiding was and now there casual by choice. other quit blaming LFR, Transmog or w/e for making the game to casual friendly and less difficult, when in reality they were getting carried by there raid teams and simply just couldn't hack it when boss's started having more than two mechanics.
they are usually just scapegoating there fragile ego's and i have very little time for them, worse i have no truck for there argument, last thing we need is a bored blizz dev thinking its in anyway something the community wants as a whole.
While I love transmog, I do kinda agree that we lost something.
I always loved the T0,5 like Valor, Magister and Shadowcraft, but it is hard not to associate it with low lvl shit gear. I guess I prefer how it was before, where new chars looked like new chars. They could still transmog, but not for gear that are higher lvl than them.

Whats the problem? Anything wrong? I dont get it...
