I wonder what a movement named "antifascism" has to do with anti-fascists.

These forums are filled of pea brains it seems like. "you don't agree with me? Means I can make any assumption of your character"... Have you tried having a good faith discussion?
You'll have to make a gesture of good faith first.

I condemned both sides therefore I don't remotely need to acknowledge any possible broader social impacts of repeating right wing talking points verbatim. /s

My leading theory on why conservatives are always so adamant on denying they are conservative: that deep down they are fully cognizant they practice an evil and harmful ideology, so they reject the attached label because accepting it means admitting they are evil and worthy of rebuke.

That's also why they are always finding new ways to whitewash their branding, be it changing the name of their group, or appropriating icons that are part of movements, religions or even media that are unrelated or diametrically opposed to the base and mundane evil they practice and force on others.

As a result, in order to achieve this, the first and foremost requirement to be a conservative, is to be a pathological liar. Can't lie to others without first lying to themselves.

Distraction maybe. Immigrants are a scapegoat, you can blame them for crime and unemployment when you fail to deliver on promises, or if you lose an election, and people buy it. Antifa is specifically designed to scare the Right, and they aren't even real, which is why I think the boogeyman label works better.

You don't seem to understand politics. If I was conservative, I wouldn't vote for the main opposition to the conservatives.

there's too much information about antifa out there for something that isn't real. And that information isn't false or something that can't be proven. It's factual information about the movement and their goals.. with all the shit that they've done
