Activision Blizzard - $4 Million Pledge to Fight Against Systemic Inequality

Activision Blizzard - $4 Million Pledge to Fight Against Systemic Inequality
Activision Blizzard has shared on Twitter that they're pledging 4 Million Dollars to the United Negro College Fund, the Equal Justice Initiative, and Management Leadership for Tomorrow. Blizzard Entertainment followed-up on the message in a tweet, mentioning that this is just the start and that they'll share more as time goes on.

Could they not just donate quietly, instead of telling "Hey, we did a thing!" ?

If they did it quietly, someone would complain how they aren't donating.

If they announce it, someone complains about that too.

Nice. Maybe asians can finally get into Harvard again without having a supercomputer cyborg brain.

But I guess thats not the "Inequality" they mean.

Yea, it's literally just because everyone else is doing it and they'd be bitched at if they did or didn't, but they'd be bitched at more if they didn't so they do.

They are a public traded company, if they donated without announcing it, their shareholders would shit themselves, anything as big as a 4 million dollar decision needs to be shown.

I dunno man people had 400 years of racial injustice. I think you can bear people trying to change that a a little longer don't you think?
Or are you too busy being upset by the removal of Confederate flags?

That too, they just can't give money to things without saying they're doing it.

Personally I would like them rather support people that get looted, but hey, it's their money.

Nah... considering Kotick's bonuses they'll probably get a triple in return.

We did it, Reddit! Now that some companies and businessmen are telling us part of their marketing budget is going into things relevant to our outrage of the month it means we've solved racism!

    High fives for everyone!

Of course not, do you think they actually care about racism?
Say what you will but this money is just virtue signalling probably allocated from the advertisement budget.
They are a corporation, they do what they think is best to keep the shareholders happy.
