its ea, no reason to trust them even a little bit.
the only reason im slightly interested is the VR support but i doubt we get a well thought out system for VR.
is hotas support confirmed already?

Describtion from their very own store
"Master the art of starfighter combat in the authentic piloting experience STAR WARS™: Squadrons. Buckle up, feel the adrenaline of first-person multiplayer space dogfights alongside your squadron, and learn what it means to be a pilot in a thrilling STAR WARS™ single-player campaign."
So it has both, we only don't know if that will be more than 30 minutes of campaign, which is why you definitely should wait for reviews and such to see if it's any worth for singleplayer
In general, i'd REALLY wait for more actual concrete info on this one. Not full price, no info on the multiplayer other than "5v5", nothing on the singleplayer and such makes it seem like a very clear "wait for info/release" case
Not my kind of games but could be fun with proper flight controller support and good vr support.
Do you hear the voices too?
Three things that are needed or else this game is dead on arrival.
1. Destructible Ships
2. Free roaming space
3. Level Editor
See Freespace
Remind me, but when Disney and EA deal about Star Wars ends?
.
When I mean free roaming I mean more like Tie Fighter and not being stuck on rails.
Never heard of it. Looked it up and it looks intriguing. Perhaps the marketing team for Rockfish should consider riding the SW Squadrons wave in the mean time.

How would free roaming space even work? Procedural generation? That would get boring really quick. Unless they would start creating content for deep space missions, explorable systems. landable space stations and so forth. I don't see a level editor either but never know.

Looks good but not $60 worthy unless the single-player mode is rich with content. Also, I played Rogue Squadron games exclusively in 3rd POV due to personal preference, this game looks like it might limit the player to the cockpit.
The wise wolf who's pride is her wisdom isn't so sharp as drunk.
Isn't there some VR space simulation game out there?
We're all newbs, some are just more newbier than others.
Just a burned out hardcore raider turned casual.
I'm tired. So very tired. Can I just lay my head on your lap and fall asleep?

Gameplay trailer looks promising.
The art style is very interesting. Subtle yet refreshing.

Wish I could afford a Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog A-10C and VR headset for this, I can imagine it being rather epic!
