Void Storage removes tertiary stats from gear?

I ask because I just put a pair of pants in Void Storage and it removed the socket AND the +Leech tertiary stat it had on it. Is this a bug? Has anyone experienced this as well? I can't find anything that says tertiary stats are removed when storing an item. I also have many other items in my void storage that still have their +leech on it, so this makes no sense to me.

Void storage went the way of the dodo after the appearance tab was invented (i.e. no need to keep gear for transmog).

it always removed enchants and the like. and i can imagine that on modern items tertiary stats and sockets are enchants under the hood, seeing how you can "enchant" your gear to have a socket.

If you really need to use void storage you might want to consider getting rid of some stuff!

Isn't there a pop up that says this?

Nah it says nothing about removing stats, only enchants/gems/transmog.
