If like me you just wanted to play single player then I have no issue with it.

Did you not already play the original, though? Wouldn't it suffice to just boot that up again?

If the gameplay is solid, I don't see why it's considered desperate.

Well remasters are basically supposed to be reskins. Reforged was supposed to be a ground up remake. But if you are okay with what basically is a remaster (old game with new models) and not a remake then that's what I had no issue with. Reforged is just a standard remaster now.

Or you could play the original again too. Depends what you want.

We may never see a Warcraft 4 thanks to WC:Rs negative reception. The higher ups probably saw it as 'people don't want an RTS, see, we gave them an RTS and people didn't like it, lets continue ham fisting in player investment games instead, daddy Kotick needs more money', rather than the nuance to why we didn't like it...

But I pray we get a Warcraft 4. But I dont see it happening in my lifetime

Shit, has it really? I kinda have up following this a couple months ago. It's actually depressing that they are still this deep in the shit while (I'm sure unconfirmed) rumors of D2 being looked at for a touch up.

It's the exact same experience.

They made a lot of janky updates to the older version so unless you go through the work of rolling back the version you have (which not everyone knows how to do, and isn't necessarily easy) AND go through the trouble of making it not update again in the future... then you can't even enjoy your older versions of the game.

I been going back to Reforged again, it just sucks what it could have been.
