A Fetus is not a person under the 14th amendment.
Christians are Forced Birth Fascists against Human Rights who indoctrinate and groom children. Prove me wrong.
Assholes have been shooting off fireworks at all hours of the night, every night here for the last few months, any enjoyment from them is long since dead for me.
I think of a lot of European countries where they have a lot of freedom as well, yeah. The only thing that strikes me is the lack of something like a First Amendment. I know a lot of countries put a lot of restrictions on speech that don't exist here which is pretty mind-boggling for a person who grew up in America. I know we have consequences and some restrictions like yelling "Fire" in a crowded area, things like that, but generally we're really allowed to say quite a lot that doesn't exist in many other places.
Hell no. Celebrating on a year like this is just inviting bad luck into your home.
Just gonna fly my new pride flag that has the black and brown stripes added and get wasted watching anime.

Some of you are huge negative nancies. I will probably hang with the buddies, play some games, drink some beer and have a good time.
I mean, this off topic forum is a great safari into "wot peepul are like" but you do read some of the craziest shit here sometimes.

Unrelated note. You can knock up a more impressive visual display on a tablet PC in about an hour than you could ever get from metric tonnes of fireworks; isn't it past time they were just... stopped.
This isn't the 19th century anymore for chrissakes.
Edit: I was being grumpy.
I'm not celebrating it, but I have this out on my balcony for the day (put it out on the evening of the 3rd). Definitely showing how I feel about the US.

I wont because I am not American.
If I were American (either born or immigrant) I would celebrate it. Seems like a nice and fun holiday and seeing what kind of people hate it makes it even better

What kinds of people?
Native Americans who were being killed?
Black Americans who weren't giving freedom, and were worse off for it given how the British behaved towards blacks.
I mean given your prior neo-nazi symbol... i guess you would find joy in those people not being gung-ho about the holiday.

—Frederick Douglass, July 5, 1852[Slavery was still legal]Your high independence only reveals the immeasurable distance between us. The blessings in which you, this day, rejoice, are not enjoyed in common. The rich inheritance of justice, liberty, prosperity and independence, bequeathed by your fathers, is shared by you, not by me. The sunlight that brought light and healing to you, has brought stripes and death to me. This Fourth July is yours, not mine. You may rejoice, I must mourn..."
