As far as I know, no one ever said Tinkers weren't possible. So... ?

I would rather see 4th spec for most classes, it would be cool if everyone could heal/tank finally after all those years imo

I mean... druids are in bear form all the time.
Mekkatorque was on his mech the whole boss encounter. Of course we don't know what they are going to do, but all signs point to yes. I don't see how else they could tank.
Theres that big mechanical arm thing that Gazlowe has in heroes. That could work, but it sounds less cool.
For the other specs the mech can be a cooldown. But the mech seems to be the selling point of Tinkers in WoW.

I would like to see 3 classes added in one expansion, but we gotta be real.

If anything these classes should have been added as a main feature and have them be former apprentices who have grown into specialists after the expansion.
Except DK's already represent the death magic fantasy.
Dark rangers are just hunters that follow Sylvanas and use black arrow. How would that make any sense for alliance? Not to mention they are basically MM hunters and show up in the Hunter class hall.

That's exactly how the Tinker has been shown since WC3. That concept has been reinforced in WoW through multiple expansions to the point where both Goblin and Gnome faction leaders pilot mech suits, and just about every Gnome and/or Goblin we've encountered in recent expansions has a mech of some sort.

Mechanically speaking, it shouldn't be much different than Druid forms.

I'd be happy with Tinkers just having clawpacks that serve different functions based on your spec. As flashy and neat as mechs/vehicles would be, that's a lot of development work that i'd rather due without if it meant actually getting to play the class.

I know there have been Mechs since forever. And i stand by my comment that i think they don't fit warcraft.

Why use Magic when there is technology so wide available that can do exactly the same? Making Tinkers more than just a niche makes magic mostly obsolete.

Why study for years to learn frost magic if i can just jump into a mech and do the same?

Congratulations! You just described why Necromancers, bards, and any other class can exist. Aka, you're not special. Get over your tinker fangirling and accept you're not the only class in the universe

Mechagnome Engineers are as close as you'll get to tinkers. Deal with it.

That’s the thing; technology isn’t widely available. The tech you’re talking about is only utilized by genius level inventors and engineers, so everyone doesn’t have access to it, or can build it.

In short, even with a Tinker class, technology would still be niche.

Thats like saying cars are not widely available because i can't build one.

The moment there is trad-able power people sell it. ESPECIALLY goblins.

Why not jump all the way forward in time until the game becomes the world depicted in ‘Bright’ (Netflix movie).

A new class is exciting. But do you know how hard it is to balance the 12 we already have, they've been unsuccessful since WoW launched to balance the then 9 classes. Youre looking at it from a casual perspective. This isn't me belittling you, however, that kind of mentality is what gets a lot of unnecessary things in the game. You'll play the new class for a hot minute and then want another new thing to play with. An MMORPG shouldn't work like a solo RPG. Do group stuff, get new goals in wow. Trust me, once you actually play end game (raid, dungeon, pvp) the game will keep you engaged - providing it isnt BFA, without gimmicks.

Oh lord - where to start with this condescending and assumptive block of words. Since you don't have a clue who you're talking to, you don't have a clue how I play or what I'll enjoy.

For one thing I'm not a casual/solo player. I've played WoW at a high level since MC was a thing in 2005 and I've raided in every expansion since (including mythic difficulty since it was added in Mists). I routinely ran high keys in Legion and did so again in BFA until I got bored with 8.3 and unsubbed to play other games. I've participated in every 'hard mode' thing that they've added - getting Rhok in vanilla, finishing Baron 45, Ulduar hard modes, challenge mode dungeons, mage tower challenges (finished 32 of those), legendary pet battles, you name it.

So as much as much as I appreciated your hilariously off-base 'trust me kid' pep talk, wanting a new class isn't about having a shiny thing that I'm bored of in 5 minutes. I'm not a 6-year old, thanks.

And class balance is literally the dumbest fucking argument against adding more classes, because the game isn't going to be balanced whether they have 9 classes, 12, or 47. It will never be balanced, literally never, until A: everyone has the same skill and latency and B: all classes play exactly the same with only cosmetic differences between them.

And since none of those things will ever be true, the game isn't going to be balanced. Ever.
Appreciate your time with friends and family while they're here. Don't wait until they're gone to tell them what they mean to you.

Yeah that’s a terrible example, since you’re applying real history to a fantasy situation. Humans created cars for humans. In this scenario, you’re talking about a Goblin building something for a Goblin.

You’re also assuming that others see value in mechs. Nothing in lore indicates that Orcs, Humans, Elves, etc. see much value in Goblin or Gnomish mechs. They’ve been building such devices for years and you never saw Varian, Anduin, Sylvanas or even Garrison demand Gnomes or Goblins to build mechs for their soldiers. By all indications, mechs are viewed as weird machines that Goblins and Gnomes build.

the people that think tinkers would be a cool class to add are the same people that watch obscure anime, simp for female streamers and think black lives matter is about actual black lives and not a marxist movement
