Blizz has declared a fall release date, that means the absolute latest they can release it is December 21.

I'd say, 21/12 is 3 weeks into winter, so no later than 30/11.

In the US, saying something will be released in Fall or Autumn basically means the fourth quarter of the current year, usually earlier on but anywhere from Sept. to Dec. of the current year. Does that mean it's a guarantee? No, anything could happen between now and then that delays the release (wouldn't be the first time either). But basically they've given a rough date range on which they intend to release it - so we can assume that, barring future delays, that's generally when we'll see it released.

Your "math" makes as much sense as saying "fall 2020" -> "2020" -> 2+0+2+0 = 4 -> Shadowlands going to go live on April 2021

Nothing is wrong about the premise.

8.3 released in January. Most were done with it by March/April. Possibly earlier.

There is at least 4-5 months until Shadowlands release if it even launches this year. You're locking yourself in to ZERO new content for another 5 months, possibly.

You do realize Blizzard have missed release dates more than once, and quite recently as well. You know that, right? In fact, Blizzard most recent release was delayed.....

J. Allen Brack, president of Blizzard Entertainment, during the company’s Q1 2020 earnings call revealed the release date for the brand new expansion. Brack mentioned that the eighth expansion, Shadowlands will debut in November 2020.

So looks like it is somewhere in the earnings call that was done. I can't find a link to it at the moment to fully confirm it, but if someone wants to take a stab at it be my guest.

There's been an active 6 month sub deal for quite some time now, my dude. It's safe to bet that there will always be a 6 month sub deal at any given time moving forward. The two have nothing to do with each other.
