The only ones I do not understand why they are going away are the end dungeon mounts (Jaina, N'zoth) If Ashes of Alar is still in the game as well as Invincible, and the Gul'dan mounts, why are these two being removed?

As someone who enjoys collecting things personally, it's really unnecessary to make it sound like it's an issue that needs to be fixed.
maybe you don't care that much about missables, some players do care about missable, those are the ones hooked always harder, missables used to be not missable by using a guide, now we're pressured by time which shape our life if we decide to collect everything (thing which shall be something possible in every well designed games). incorporating timed missable is bad for the game. achievements date, lower drop rates, and easy to get promotional/one time stuff (like the stuff from the diablo event) is enough for this kind of prestige. all that fomo marketing does is frustrating the real collectors(since it's close to impossible to collect everything if you have a job and or a family), while non collectors don't care that much, since they're not collectors.

in my book with this blizzard is just exploiting some kind of person's addictive behaviour to hook them more. not nice.
it would be tolerable if there were few, like before, but those days there's countless of those.

They added bad luck protection to rank 4 essences from emissary bonuses like, last month I think?

Eh, I don't raid at all. Besides, I never went into that raid so I have no idea of the mechanics. I would probably do that if I reeeeally wanted the mount, but nah. I just want to add it by farming the raid solo - and discovering it as well.

Are we going to stop Casinos because gambling addictions is a thing? Also not sure why you're making assumptions, I care a lot actually about missing things, but I also know once I missed it there's no point dwelling on it, or I know when I have my limits. You can't balance a game around people having addictions.

I spent hours on hours grinding out the Field Medic when it was announced First Aid was leaving, and I don't regret it.

The whole idea of "timed exclusivity is bad!" is just weird to me considering every online game has it to some degree. Don't need to look any further than the Battle Pass system. But for some reason when it comes to WoW, people have some strange idea that taking away things is the worst thing ever.

As you can claim there's collectors this frustrates, there's also collectors that get frustrated when things they got through effort/dedication are trivialized. There's plenty to collect that never goes away.

"You should have a 445 ilevel for Heroic N'zoth".

That's adorable. Doubt you could find a normal group with 445.

well that's where good game design comes into play. anyway, personally I can't understand players enjoying the possibility to miss things deeply integrated in a game, hence never really having the possibility to complete a game. wow started off without that (to this extent) and it was added progressively, when players poured many years of their life already. so what would you say to collectors who just can't collect every timed collectibles because there's too many, to just give up ? it's hard for them, but the amount of such practice used by them lately makes it just vile, in my opinion.

None of these is really surprising. I am happy that they finally confirmed what goes away and what stays, and specifically that visions, expeditions and warfronts are staying. I still have that one annoying achievement in warfronts to do plus some mogs to get and I was waiting for that confirmation.

Reading comprehension, man. They are making Jaina/N'zoth Mythic mounts 1% next expansion, just like always. Only mount from quest for ahead of the curve is going away and it was this way at least since MoP.

Nothing in this list is surprising, maybe only rank 4 essences, but I doubt many people care about them (well, maybe title is cool for some future expac when Azeroth titan will have bigger role).

No, not really. It's actually pretty surprising they are keeping warfronts and visions with everything tied to them (except Mad World FoS) still available after BfA. Previous expansions had much more content removed / made unavailable at the end of the expac

"These mounts will go away come next expansion!" = "Please keep playing! Here, we'll make these rare, just please stay on a game that doesn't get regular content updates!"

I'd rather have multiple small patches than months worth of developing large patches that last weeks merely because of time gating. These content droughts suck, especially when we're still paying for subs in 2020. It's tiring subbing during WoW's content droughts as some sort of welfare for Blizzard.

Good luck getting the phenomenal cosmic power one... the PvP ones will be a huge crutch for most.

Should've been acquiring a number of Rank 4s, not ALL...

Buy Tokens with real life money - buy gold with token - pay for pvp carry with token gold.

Thats how you're supposed to get rank 4 pvp if you're not a pvper.

    See blizzard DO care

As it is, Blizzard very underhandedly announced removing a gold sink mount from the game for the very first time after introducing a lot of other, smaller gold sinks to tempt players to spend their gold, and after introducing measures to reduce passive gold intake and the value of raid consumables. By the time they announced this, it had become very hard to catch up on the gold unless you played on a high pop server or had a lot of time on your hands, and we were left with the frustration of having spent valuable currency and time on things that weren't actually going away.
I agree that Blizzard should have been more forthcoming with their intentions from the first day of the expansion. They did give quite a lot of notice (over a year), but from day one of the expac would have been best for clarity. In the past Blizzard would have announced these sort of things 3 months from the launch of the expansion, so I give them credit for giving much more notice on this occasion.

I personally welcome them having another of these amounts in SL, and I think they should have made the spider mount unobtainable at the end of Legion. I do see people's frustration with this though, as it was out of the blue when they announced it and could not have been anticipated.

Looks as though the prepatch may come earlier than anticipated and stay longer than usual.

No doubt because 8.2 and especially 8.3 came up light and people are bored with assaults and visions. I know I am.

Plus, it is nearly August already.

Going to swell Blizzard when all these horrible systems like Azerite, essences and the god forsaken unbalanced, untested idiotic idea of corruption are gone and forgotten about.
