Police are intentionally trained wrong in America because 1. They exist to protect the interests of oligarchs not stop crime 2. They aren't standardised in any way 3. Literally racism.

He did come out and put his hands up. Didn't try to flee before they started using violence on him.
I mean yeah, he didn't turn around when he told them to. But that's not exactly a crime with the death penalty on it. They should not have shot him period, whether there was someone else in the car or not. It's an unarmed, panicking guy in a country that currently has an extremely volatile relationship between police and civilians. Resolving that situation peacefully is the duty of the guys with the guns, not those they are threatening them with.

That is the issue here. They did not know, the car could have been rigged, there could have been another passenger on the back seat they did not see, the guy could have try to grab a weapon inside the car => they did not know.

So while he complied the first part, he should have complied until the end.


Did he deserve to be shot ? Obviously not. Did they need to shoot the fleeing car ? Obviously not (And I am not even sure they have the right to shot a fleeing car especially since it did not seem they did not target the tire but directly the driver).

Sure, if they don't protest they are safe. So they should just not protest now? Somebody should tell that to all the protestors who get beat down in Eqypt, Iran, Iraq, Thailand, Hong Kong etc... Maybe they'll also learn from it.

There are hundreds of videos where police were beating peaceful protesters before the fireworks and lasers. These protests started because of police violence and police have been extremely heavy handed in trying to stop protests.
