well if your mom gave you 5 dollars would that be considered financial help?
i mean warren buffett's parents were not exactly rich by any means. he was a politician before they were all rich.
he was delivering newspapers as his first real job at 15.
Jan Koum went from welfare and janitor to 10 billion...

As if RMT is the "problem"
Boosting communities are an annoying plague in the trade chat (but also quite useful for people wanting to earn gold/get boosted)
They're still an annoying plague and the spam has been ridiculous for years, as not only do you get spammed from spambots for scamsites selling gold an services, but also from hundreds of incentivized players trying to earn a cut from 10 different boosting communities on top of privateer boosters. That's a problem if anything.
But Bliz are so awful at handling issues.. RMT? Who cares. There's multiple websites where you can buy gold for half the price of a wowtoken within 20 minutes. It's also pretty much completely safe to do, and Blizz has and will never be able to stop it. This kind of RMT doesn't destroy your in-game experience and in my eyes is a non-problem. They should really be able to do something about this issue other than just "Ban everyone who advertises community A"
Too bad it is only one community that they taken care of. They need get rid of all boosters.

His parents gave him 253 THOUSAND dollars and a bunch of his other family members gave him money too.
But I'll give you Jan Koum.
Buffett was not self-made. He literally rode the backs of other companies before making enough in salary to start something. He also got a $10,000 donation from several people before going into business. I'm not gonna count receiving donations as being self-made because he didn't even work for that money. 11 people gave him 10k and he only put 100 of his own money into the project. Other people's donations are the only reason he was able to start anything up to become wealthy.
And once again, nobody gets to being multi-millionaires and billionaires on their own. It's been proven time and again that people in those brackets are corrupt, exploit their work force, and use loopholes so they never pay taxes. Jeff Bezos is worth $181 billion yet paid zero in taxes for 2019.
The majority of his wealth is in shares. He'll get taxed on it, if or when he sells. Great understanding of things demonstrated here. (sarcasm btw, it might have eluded you). Anyway, this thread is about gold selling, not your unresolved anger issues about rich people.
Good riddance, annoyin spammers.

Yeah... sounds right...
Anyway...
It totally blows my mind that current playerbase is willing to pay for an ingame achievements that should be main goal itself...
Holy moly...

If accounts that held all the gold from boosts (that weren't paid yet) got banned, then I doubt people will want to boost for them anymore since they're not getting paid and it is a higher risk to be involved with them.
+ the obvious fact that their leadership got the banana.

I think you'll find this wording is why. Because it is basically a threat aimed at anyone who uses their services or is involved in supplying such services for them. And with most people only legit using gold they would not likely want to risk their accounts given Blizzard basically has no real appeals process for any action they take unless you have direct contact with GMs.

Personally, I find it all a bit suspect.
Like suddenly out of left field we have charges laid that they were doing RMT despite years of silence from Blizzard with regards to their services.
I have no doubt that some were doing RMT trading somewhere along the line. But I feel like its hardly the norm.
I personally suspect either activities at the very top by someone who owns it or through some dodgy deals done with top echelon guilds to secure places in their runs.
At the same time when Blizzard means RMT they could simply mean they used the gold to buy large sums of money for their Blizzard account balances. Something that would get Blizzard's ire since its a direct cost to them to honor that balance.
Either way, I feel like the whole situation is odd and there is more to this story than just what Blizzard claims (without anybody being able to see or judge the facts ofc) has occurred.

Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.
