Okay that is some pretty juicy drama. I have to admit that Gallywix got me fooled for a second there. They had a huge front of being legal and in-game gold only. Then they were running all these giveaways lately with big fansites and streamers... I guess it's just another reminder not to trust stuff on the internet, as well as in real life too much.

Method getting hit by collateral is pretty funny, especially after they've been "forgiven" by the community content creators already for their sexual harassment drama.

This will be really funny if after the whole redemption arc, Scripe and the rest of Echo get banned for RMT.

It's a boosting community that's been around for a while but lately skyrocketed in popularity and importance in the community. Apparently they got too big and Blizzard finally decided to look into them.

Selling in-game gold for real money is not something you can sue anyone for. It doesn't break real life laws.

Log in on a heavily populated server like Stormrage or Mal'ganis and chill in Trade for a minute. You'll figure it out. They're a community that deals in gear boosts "For Gold" (which I guess really wasn't the case now was it?) that carried in Heroics, Mythic+, and once it went cross-realm Mythic Raiding. Known for constantly spamming Trade and LFG Channels with annoying messages.

I don’t see what difference it makes when you could spend that real money on a WoW token anyway. Well, cept for the fact that blizzard would gain the profit, I guess that’s a big factor actually. Yeah ignore me.
