In case you do not understand - him being drugged was no reason to sit in his neck until he died, which is the whole point of this bullshit case. To remind you - the cop was still sitting on his neck for more than two minutes after his collegue checked Floyd's pulse and said that there is none, not to mention that he had obviously lost consciousness.
There is no law which allows cops to kill druggies outside of actual attack.

Also, bro, it has been months. Where the fuck you were if you did not know that he had drug issues?

any excuse to deflect off the pigs conduct, we get it. some coked up wall street guy can be peacfully taken into custody but a poor black man is a serious danger to soceity at large.

I don’t think what everybody appreciated — at least me, personally — is the depth of sentiment out there among our service members of color, particularly Black Americans, about how much the killing of George Floyd — and the other incidents that preceded it and succeeded it — had on them and what they were experiencing in the ranks as well,” Esper said during a virtual appearance at the Aspen Security Forum.
In which the US military realizes that its black members also care about systemic racism.

Oh, I know why people are racist. The need to blame others for their faults. It’s not debatable... it’s pretty much established in every field tackling the subject.

aaaaaand the rest of the conveniently clipped and edited body cam footage is leaked, despite the AGs best attempts to suppress it.
Looks like ole' "Floyd the Landlord", washed up porno actor, addict and felon was out of his gourd on weed, meth and fentanyl. Enough fentanyl in fact to kill him three times over. Screaming "I can't breathe" even before they pulled him out of the car. Dude was experiencing cardiopulmonary failure and was already dying.

Guess these 15 crates of "I Can't Breathe" T-Shirts go in the landfill with the "Hands Up Don't Shoot".

I see, so if you couldn't breath / where dying I suppose you would be okay with someone putting their knee or foot on your neck?

They should have called an ambulance instead of kneeling on him. I am worried they may have overcharged the officer and it will let him get off scottfree.

    So wait.

Your argument was that he was having a medical emergency before Chauvin started kneeling on the back of his neck?

So Floyd was in need of medical attention and the cops did nothing, choosing instead to detain him, ignoring his repeated pleas for help, and let him die in their custody?

And this...is supposed to make Floyd look bad, and at the same time somehow make the cops look...less bad?

Is this what the intellectual vanguard of the right wing has cooked up?

As long as they nest multiple charges, that shouldn't be possible. Charge him with manslaughter and Murder 2, maybe even Murder 1. He might fail o be found guilty for a higher charge, but convicted for a lower.

And if that's not possible, or a judge can't lower the charge appropriately, the American system is dumb. Like, super dumb. That's a colossally stupid thing which has no value and cannot possibly contribute to justice being served.

Let's also note it's in direct conflict with the autopsy reports. He didn't die of an overdose, it was a homicide.

Oh I know, I'm just trying to get a better understanding of foundation of the rights new narrative/argument.

That a man suspected of a non-violent felony and suspected of being under the influence, who was having a medical emergency, was detained and had his neck knelt on for 8+ minutes by an officer while 3 other officers stood by and did nothing to help the man suffering from a medical emergency.

Because that's what it seems like to me, and I just want to be clear on that.

I think even saying "suspected of a non-violent felony" is about two steps way too far, in this case.

Have they even confirmed if the bill was counterfeit or not?
And even if it was, how do we know Floyd didn't get given that bill in some other exchange, thinking it was legal tender?

If he'd been passed a counterfeit bill and wasn't aware that it was fake, he's a victim, not suspected of a felony.

So Portland pulled an NYC and disbanded their gun crime unit after allegations of racism since it disproportionately arrested black people.

The unit was disbanded on July 1 and literally immediately Portland experienced a nearly 300% increase in shootings (99 shootings in July 2020 compared to 35 shootings in July 2019) and had 15 murders in July 2020, compared to 31 murders for the entire year of 2019 (the highest murder rate in three decades).

The Portland Police Bureau says 66% of the shooting victims were black; keep in mind that the population of Portland is only 6% black. Its almost like the Portland Police Bureau 'Gun Violence Reduction Team' disproportionately arrested black people because gun crime was concentrated in that particular community or something...
