I've been seeing a huge trend on the socials recently about this subject and thought I'd ask it here. I have to ask a question of all of you who are sharing pictures & various posts about the murder of Cannon Hinnant the 5 year old boy shot execution style by a black man and spreading the tag #JusticeForCannon, exactly what JUSTICE are you wanting to accomplish or have done for him? Cannon was murdered around 530pm, a statewide search went into affect immediately. The man who shot him, Darius Sessoms, was arrested and thrown in jail without bail within 24 hours of the murder happening. What more JUSTICE do you want? Do you realize the JUSTICE that is lacking for people like Breonna Taylor who was murdered by police back in March while she was sleeping in her own bed and who's boyfriend was arrested on the spot and charges not dropped until the end of May?
Is it because of his age that you are so enraged and demanding justice? If so, where was this rage and calls for justice when 12 year old Tamir Rice was shot within 2 seconds of police arriving at the park he was playing at simply because he was playing with his sister and friends and holding a toy gun? Police were never charged in this 2014 killing of an innocent black child. Where is HIS justice? OH wait, I guess since the family successfully sued the officers involved and city of Cleveland where it happened for $6 million dollars, they got JUSTICE right. Because we all know that money can bring back a dead person wrongfully killed by someone.
If it isn't his age then is it because it was a white kid killed by a black man and the national news didn't cover a "normal" murder in a town that has 49,000 people residing in it in the middle of nowhere North Carolina?
If age isn't the issue then what exactly is the issue with Cannon's family getting justice for him with the shooter behind bars within 24 hours of him being murdered??? How is our justice system NOT working for Cannon's family? Isn't the whole premise of our criminal justice system to arrest those who have done us wrong and isn't that exactly what happened to the murderer in less than 24 hours of his murder?
