Well, that explains 1 of the 3 usual suspects. But not even sure that 1 even was shitting on the Dem convention as much as the other two were. Could be wrong though.

btw i'm not watching it either. though I didn't watch the Dem convention either.

Yea he seemed pretty sane when I met him at the 2016 RNC (Uber got delayed and he chatted with my group for about 15 minutes while he waited)

That said, he really loves his gerrymandering job from 2010, basically bragged that the Dems couldn't win the House back until the census. Proved that one wrong

Man, that is a VERY good point/idea. I could see her having the charisma to rebuff the offer from Trump to replace Pence, because she could still come back in if Trump wins and the world starts to burn. However, the flip side, the rebuilding of the GOP if/when it implodes post Trump defeat, could be a VERY good place to rise up and take over.

Republicans had a very white, very male, very unexcited group of dudes talk in front of a generic background with uncomfortable closeups.

Democrats, meanwhile, brought diversity, their families, and home-state charm and pride to theirs.

Only a organization as sick as the RNC can come up with such a production as the one going on right now. They are their own parody. Their messaging...effective.

Jesus, if only the DNC had this energy. This is how pissed and energetic the DNC should be.

Not saying he is a saint, lol. That is all part of the "Hell of a political operator" thing. The whole of the Lincoln Project is made up of grifters and conmen that are mad that "Their" party got stolen from them. None of them are to be trusted or respected. But they are aimed at the right person right now.

You're just looking at the paid performers - NO one gets in to that event who isn't a known quantity shriller. And keep in mind insanity has it's own energy.

p.s. - still waiting for your response to what the Dems could be doing different...

I'm aware, I just wanted to tell the story

The comparison between the 2016 RNC and now is pretty mindblowing, I heard Tom Cotton speak twice and he actually seemed sane.

It could mean paying for better actors... democrats are not enthusiastic... the enthusiasm is 100% about Trump, be it to win or lose...

In 2016 they were just boarding the Trump train, after being hesitant to leave the platform and jump on for months.

They've been getting shitfaced on Trump juice for almost 4 years now, huffing coal fumes all along the way.

That's the point. They are full of shit but great at it. They mastered grifting, solidifying a solid base with their garbage. Raw, uncensored political porn for people who can't name 5 US Presidents.

    Brilliant if it wasn't dangerous.

Which also requires decades of creating that base. Which is a dark road I don't think you, or many folks, want Democrats to go down.

Assuming their way is the only means to gain enthusiastic loyalty?

Right now the DNC is made up of bunch of groups that sort of tolerate the party because there's no where else to go for them. One of the reasons why Democratic voter turnout is so shitty because you're dealing with an apathetic base that is lukewarm to the leaders of the party.

The GOP has no problem with enthusiasm and turno.... fuck they got Herschel Walker.

Oh no no no no. They are using a black man to weaponize Biden's political history. No shame.

    Ehem...

As I said, when you've got a base primed for that it's easy to excite them. It helps when they have a narrow focus on a few issues rather than being a broad-tent party like the Democrats are.

Yeah but that sort of enthusiastic loyalty isn't a result of the GOP presenting a robust platform that is a recipie for good governance. It's a result of fearmongering, propaganda, hate and general conspiratorial bullshit.

It represents the fundamental break between the two parties ideologically. As much as the GOP claims to stand for something, the reality is they don't, and they'll say whatever they need to in order to get more people to angrily jack off. The Democrats on the other hand often look like they don't stand for anything in specific because they're actively trying to figure out what people want, or how they need to adjust in order to get people on their side (even if they don't actually want to adjust very much).

The GOP doesn't have loyalty, it has fanaticism. Brainless screaming and yelling without reason or coherence. The DNC doesn't have loyalty or fanaticism because it (mostly) relies on reason and coherence, which are subjects that people can question without being accused of being brainwashed by the deep state.
Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life.

    Just, be kind.
