I now find astronaut stuff much more interesting than any fictional space adventure

For some strange reason I have became obsessed with the space race and much less interested in sci fi during this quarantine. I dived into movies like "The Right Stuff". "Apollo 13", and "First Man". I found a copy of HBO's From the Earth to the Moon at a local used book store. I found the all the Apollo missions much more interesting than anything sci fi could conjure up.

I also got into race car movies like "Ford v Ferrari" and "Rush".

I still like stuff like BSG and The Expanse.

Sounds like maybe you enjoy the science more than the fiction.

I enjoyed that as well as Gravity but The Martian is my favorite.

Personally I really enjoy the TV series The Expanse
It is probably the best sci-fi in terms of science application
And I like politics (Avasarala <3)

With the examples you listed, it seems like you are just liking films which are based on events that actually happened?

Their allure, at least for me, is that they conceptualize what we may yet get to see in our lifetimes.
Now you see it. Now you don't.

    But was where Dalaran?

Maybe this is the reality and us going to the moon is the real conspiracy theory.

Sure real science is interesting but I think it's a bit silly to think that science fiction can't come up with something more interesting than reality, especially if you're including books.

The Dune and Foundation OG trilogies on their own are more interesting than anything we've come up with.

That's what the aliens want you to think. You really think if they wanted you to believe in the stuff they say they would have someone as crazy looking as Giorgio Tsoukalos as their spokesman?
