This is the worldometers list of countries ranked by, amongst other things, deaths per one million people. Yes, we could compare other factors as well. The world currently stands at 121.4 at time of writing. The US stands at 608, the 11th highest in the world. Finland, by contrast, is about 10% our death rate, 61. Yes, Finland is fucking amazing, but their medical tech and knowledge isn't like ten times ours. (They do have socialist medicine...)

So your task is as follows.
    1) Find the population of the red states.
    2) Find the number of deaths in the red states.
    3) Therefore, find the deaths per million in the red states.

Your target is Finland. "anyone in the world" at the very minimum includes Finland.

You aren't exempting enough people! If you don't count old people, liberals, immigrants, poor people, liberals, losers, suckers, and ugly women, then very few people have died! It is a huge success! Trump has saved almost all the hot, rich people!

If you post a deaths per million that's higher than Finland's, you will admit that Trump lied. But hey, maybe you can still prove that red states handled it better than blue states, eh? Wouldn't that still be useful information? And wouldn't you feel better about actually completing a challenge for once, especially if the news is "well Trump lied, but at least..."?

If you post a deaths per million that's lower than Finland, then you know what? I'll give you this one. Yes, if the red states have a deaths per million that's 60 or lower, I'll give you the win. Just count your lucky stars I didn't use Japan, South Korea or New Zealand, all of which are "anyone in the world" too.

If you do not post at all, you know what that means -- I get to answer for you, and more importantly, you four specific posters admit you are cowards by refusing to answer.

You have a week. An entire week. It took me 11 minutes, and that's only because I used the wrong column the first time like a moron.

Non-Trump-supporters, feel free to PM me for the correct answer.
My whole problem with using Finland as the measuring stick is this:

No he is not the bottom. Trump shows there is no bottom. There is just a long fall to nothing.

I think he means bottom in the metaphorical Putin-penis-receptacle way.

Agreed - that's not only just plain insane (Trump's statement), but it's factually wrong. Your sig pretty much sums up the GOP's platform, btw.

@Cerilis - I'm not seeing the ghost pages...sorry, early morning here, need more coffee.

Awww, that situation's totally different. They're not trying to separate the cops from the protesters--they want the cops breaking skulls--they just want to separate Trump from everyone...because a bunker isn't safe enough.

The sad part is that the people who inherited the money from these dead people will vote for Trump.
Because, thanks to Trump, they are rich now !

Many people bought big insurance for their parents, and scored big !

    Fuck Florida.
Georgia: 2,223 new cases; 21 deaths
Illinois: 1,941 new cases; 35 deaths
Tennessee: 1,856 new cases; 24 deaths
Wisconsin: 1,408 new cases; 8 deaths
Missouri: 1,271 new cases; 12 deaths
North Carolina: 1,137 new cases; 38 deaths
Ohio: 1,056 new cases; 50 deaths

Wisconsin continues their trend of high-total days. Illinois is actually down from where it was two weeks ago (before the holiday), so hopefully they're handling the spikes out in the Midwest. Nebraska, North and South Dakota are all slightly up from where they were two weeks ago and if you look at their number of infections per 1 million pop they're actually ranked 22 and above. As I've said before I'm sure they're somewhat saved by the low pop density out in those parts but even then they're not taking it seriously enough. High positivity in the tests in that region continues to be a concern. Alabama is currently being hammered by Sally so I'm expecting their reporting to be off for a while as they have something more pressing to deal with. Good luck to everyone out in that region.

1,151 deaths brings the total up to 201,348 and all of a sudden the 200k meme is out of date. Texas, California and Florida continue bringing in numbers above 100 daily (Florida, oddly, reporting the most out of all three more often than not) but given their huge populations that's not entirely surprising. California continues to be handling it the best out of all of them with the most testing, lowest positivity rate and least amount of deaths and new cases per 1 million pop. Of interest is that of the top 10 states in terms of most cases per million there is only 1 "Blue" state listed and that would be New York at number 9, just above Texas at 10 and below Tennessee at 8.

    Stay safe, folks.
I wonder if California's lower Covid-19 mortality rate when compared to Texas and Florida, despite higher case number and larger population size, may have something to do with the fact that California in 2020 was ranked third lowest state for obesity. While Florida and Texas were ranked #16 and #37.

White House Axed USPS Plan To Send 5 Masks To Every American Household: Report

The draft was never finalized due to the White House axing the plan, the Washington Post reported, citing senior administration officials who asked to be anonymous.

“There was concern from some in the White House Domestic Policy Council and the office of the vice president that households receiving masks might create concern or panic,” one of the officials told the Post.

As an alternative, HHS instituted “Project: America Strong,” a system that has seen about 600 million masks distributed to critical infrastructure companies, hospitals and community groups, rather than individuals.

Oh, you made me realize that the US dropped down to 11th spot after briefly being at 10th place.

I have faith in the US government, and believe the US will back in the top 10 within a week.

Surprising nobody, Trump thinks schools are "indoctrinating" children, so he wants to make sure they're indoctrinated instead by his pro-America propaganda.

'Liberal indoctrination': Donald Trump rails against modern teaching of U.S. history

"Our mission is to defend the legacy of America’s founding, the virtue of America’s heroes, and the nobility of the American character," Trump said during what aides billed as the first "White House Conference on American History."

While Trump called for "patriotic education" and a "pro-American curriculum in the nation's schools, opponents cast the president as a struggling re-election candidate who is seeking votes by trying to divide people along racial and cultural lines.

Trump focused his attack on education projects devoted to the nation's history of slavery and racial discrimination, analysts pointed out, targets that have been the focus of ire from many pundits on the right.

"Donald Trump's political career has been defined by stoking racism and hatred," said Josh Schwerin of Priorities USA Action, a political action committee that supports Democratic candidates. "This is all about trying to use racism to incite the fringes of his base who he thinks can help him win an election."
In other news, Pet Smart is completely out of stock on dog whistles after Trump and Stephen Miller bought them all.

I'm so looking forward to history books regaling children with tales of how slave owners loved their slaves and treated them well because "you wouldn't want to damage valuable property"

Because that's totally historically accurate and not a part of the continued attempts to whitewash the horrors of slavery.
