Quite simple. We are Prime Azeroth, we are the only "trend" on the "rope" that really matters. We are the center piece of Time.

"In all known realms of the cosmos, time flows forward, ever forward. Chaotic energies in places like the Twisting Nether can affect how quickly it flows, but it only flows forward.

Once an event happens, it cannot be changed. These events and choices, made up of all creatures and forces in the cosmos, join together like a river, sharing the same reality. Different choices and different possibilities naturally spin off the river of time like small creeks and estuaries, ebbing and flowing for a while. If these shades of what could have been are left alone, they will eventually dissipate into nothing. If efforts are made to preserve them (or alter them), they can indeed remain in existence indefinitely. They can even be made to feed back into the main river—dead creatures can seemingly "live again," and the past (or future) may literally come back to haunt you. This is not a natural phenomenon, and the inhabitants of the main timeway will often find these experiences to be quite alarming.

But the only timeway that has a permanent effect on the cosmos is the main timeway. Creatures like the bronze dragons, who have command of temporal magic, can see all the countless tributaries of alternate universes and timelines, and they can even move back and forth along the stream to observe the past and the future.

If that main river is disrupted, it could spell doom and disaster. All life on Azeroth depends on time to flow ever forward. Without the surety that the sun will rise and set each day, the seasons would not pass, the cycle of life would become meaningless, and all living creatures would eventually die from being unable to sustain themselves. It is the most sacred mission of the bronze dragonflight to keep that from happening."

Considering the other timelines can influence the main timeline I wouldn't say that, prime example everyone who died on Alternate Draenor and the Mag'har settling in the main universe.

People seems to be under the impression their is just a MU and AU timeline? It’s more like a Rick and Morty Universe of infinite AUs. The original plan by Wraithion, if I am recalling correctly, was to gather the Iron Horde from not just the AU Dranor we fought on but from many other AU Dranors. Garrosh, simply screwed up the plan by murdering that Bronze Dragon, I’m not even going to try the name, after reaching their first AU stop.

So in theory their are infinite Drakkas that have to merge into MU Drakka, and so on and so forth.

Hahaha so, Warlords of Draenor, the worst expansion ever made that butchered all know lore in the entire universe, is still giving us headaches because it simply doesnt fit. Who would've thought?

Why dont they just give up about that atrocity?

    Which is also answered:

Prime Azeroth can be affected by the Alternate Azeroths, but for the cosmos, only Prime Azeroth matters.

Those from Prime Azeroth that died on Alternate Draenor will go to the Shadowlands as the main "trends", now all the rest will is just anima to merge with their main counterparts.

Because it does fit when we look take consideration that the Cosmos is actually outside of Time.

But since they can alter the main timeline, potentially to a drastic degree if another set of titans were to settle over for example, they are indirectly affecting the cosmos as well.

Yes and no, because at the end, everything is a pawn of the grand battle of cosmos. They might affect our Prime Azeroth, but that's pretty much it.

Same way DC and Marvel comics deal with Multiverse and crises stories. The main universes are sometimes affected by other universes and timelines, but at the end of the day, the main universes are the one that survive and affect the cosmos of things.

I would say a definite yes, if you were to tear 30 Azeroth's from their timeline into the main one the consequences would be astronomical.

That's why we have the Bronze Dragonflight to protect the Prime Azeroth from the Infinite Dragonflight doing it.

And yet, those AU souls are just anima in the Shadowlands.

But they already failed with WoD and even helped bringing the Mag'har into the main timeline, not to mention they have only influence on a single world. In theory civilizations all over the cosmos could plunder the multiverse for power

Sure, like King Blackmoore was an important character for the Cataclysm story.

But, at the end, for Shadowlands, those Mag'har are just anima to be added to their MU counterparts or plain anima to feed the Machine and/or Jailer.

We are new entering on a higher level layer of the Cosmos that everything that we know so saw is just meaningless. Either it's anima to feed or souls to fulfill the Shadowlands purposes. Until the Jailer decided to change the game, that is.

I am not just talking about the shadowlands, but the main universe as a whole, their interference could wipe out entire worlds, the butterfly of these events should be massive.

But the topic is about Shadowlands and the fact that the MU souls are the only souls to be considered as characters.

People keep asking, and saying "we don't know" looks bad, so they make up long-winded metaphors about ropes instead.

They just try to make themselves look smarter by ripping off Kojima.

Does that mean we will get codec call from sylvanas during jailer fight?

lol Blizzard with the " we are not sure at the moment, we'll figure it out when we get there " approach yet again. This whole " it's a rope " explanation is god awful

Another idea i have is that Au people tend to become like their MU versions after a while even if they originated from different decisions altogether, so a righteous garrosh becomes a prideful asshole over time for whatever reason.
They do have souls. But if the timeline is destroyed, doubt that the soul stays intact.

The butterfly effect doesn't really exist. https://www.sciencealert.com/a-physi...avel-plausible

AU has, and will continue to be, the worse addition to the lore ever. Like a cancer it spreads to all things.

Again, this is not a thing, because Danouser himself said every other also matter, in the same amount
