It's not an accident Trump did not follow protocol from the CDC from the start. This could all have been avoided if he followed what his own experts and security detail told him.

And even if Trump makes a full recovery, it has been shown that even asymptomatic patients have scarring in their lungs, not to mention cardiac and neurological damage as a result of Covid. And Trump is the last person who can afford to lose brain function, not only because he is the resident, but also because he barely has any.

Given the White House's ridiculous secrecy around when Trump's last negative COVID test was, I think it's safe to say Trump was feeling symptoms on Monday or Tuesday and knew he very likely had COVID, but didn't want anyone to find out because that would mean postponing the debate (which in his mind would make him look weak), so he refused to take any COVID test until afterwards.

There really is no other explanation for why they would refuse to say when his last negative test was. So yeah, he almost certainly knew he had it, and it will almost certainly result in someone's death. Maybe not any of the people he directly infected, but for sure the secondary or tertiary infections from those.
