it don't, we just ned to chose less specific characters and focus more on big ones in the lore to help set the universe, the avengers did that starting with iron man by example.

Lothar was a perfect choice for the first movie because he is a pivotal character for the alliance and one of the most important helping set events in motion. But they screw up everything else. Lothar per see is not a prince or something that important that you have to set up, he is the one setting up things.

Durotar was a terrible choice, He is a nobody that have almost no impact in the first and none in the second game, he is important in the books and wod, but again, not suit for a movie, they massive boner for thrall and the frostwolves ruined something who should be Orgrin part, you set up him so in the end he kill blackhand.
if we are talking about people who dont play warcraft and wow its like then everyone is a nobody, sylvannas came out of nowhere, whole night elf race came out of nowhere in warcraft.
not the same thing, they are not pillars of the game, they are the ones who stand on those pillars

now about the dismissing part I agree, in order for arthas or really, most other characters to make a meaningful impact on the viewers they need to add some back stories, arthas transition will happen so fast in one single movie, it has to be atleast 3 movies where the first one starts slightly before where the reign of chaos story begins in order for new viewers to understand the good side of arthas or the transition will not give a climax.
Arthas story should be done in a movie like they did for the support heroes after they show up in avengers.

Also, lets say they do a trilogy about the first and second war, Orgrin and Lothar would ultimately clash in the end, in the final battle of horde x alliance, with Turalyon rising with his death, that would be some epic finale right there

You can't start a franchise with just arthas because not even the human campaign in Wc3 is just about him, stop pretending he is the star and principal character of the game, he can't build the warcraft universe alone.

the difference sill is how the movies came first, you don't do a movie about Darth vader out of the game and try to build his downfall story as something who will be the pillar of star wars franchise. Not even the prequels are just about him, we have all the build with palpatine and the creation of the empire
"this is a fantasy medieval setting" "thats a human prince" "orcs are bad" "that blondie is his love interest" "that old guy is his mentor" "they are tring to stop a zombie plague". Is not hard science, people can figure it out themselves.

because it will be a shit movie that is not about warcraft, we have tons of those move adaptations that people try to do their own thing dismissing the material, if you dumb down to those crap themes will be a pointless and not a warcraft movie.

Warcraft can't be captured in a single movie. It needs to be a whole series on if the creators want to present an intelligible image of the universe.

Personally if they were gonna go with the Arthas story I'd rather have it be a show. Don't want them to squeeze it into a 2.5 hours shit where they have to cut a lot of shit.

yes, thats exactly why people HATE the SW: Clone Wars show. It is very ill-regarded due to the fact its animated...

I still think they should use live action animation like Disney did with the Lion King. Its really expensive though, I think the movie was around 500 million dollar to make while the first Warcraft movie was around 160 million in comparison.
