Cool, they also extract several orders of magnitude more value from the system by virtue of their wealth than I do simply because my business and family empires aren't entirely contingent on the social structures within which they have been nurtured.

Imagine saying this and not realizing you're explaining why the American economy is deeply broken and needs higher tax rates for the wealthy, if not far deeper reforms to even better ameliorate wealth inequality.

Some of these democratic cities Trump bitches about, get back less than 50% of their federal taxes and are the largest economies in the world. You claim their failing to bitch about a tax rate, that a billionaire who has had the “jealous” American public and even China bail him out, made up because he has nothing, but enriching him self. So... who exactly is jealous?

A rich person paying more in taxes than someone making less isn't the issue, it's the middle class n worker class that together have the means to have a well functioning 1st world country, instead with tooth n nail they want to move up n think high taxes will cost them money once they get rich too...

Their motto is "get rich or die trying" literally...
The middle class comitted suicide n instead lets blame the ones that managed to get ahead doesn't adress the underlying issue, the american dream is 100% about self interest at any cost, u can't have a functioning country by selfish people who are a bunch of libertarians masquerading as democrats n republicans.

Ive been thinking about this issue for a while and isnt this the result of lockdown measures???

I deeply despise McConnell as any decent human being should but the causation here is pretty obvious and its something you can see around the world

No I don’t... here is China bailing out Trump:

Trump owed tens of millions to Bank of China

Here is Trump still having an account in China and paying a thousand times more in taxes in China, than US:

Trump has bank account in China, pursued hotel deals for a decade: Report

Any comment on why we are loosing the trade war?

Because more than half of their federal taxes do not return to the state, including to forest management on federal land. Trump’s response is sad...

The middle class didn't "commit suicide". It's been choked out by the wealthy. I have no idea where you're getting any of this, because the middle class voting against their self-interest because of propaganda pushed by the wealthy is exactly the problem.

dude, the rich didn't invent the american dream, that is desired by all. Some rich guy can't con people unless they are selfish n don't see the people around them, how it will affect them, if u feel no connection to them you won't think twice about them n there lies the problem... "oh, if the rich weren't putting words together, we would have it great!"

of all classes, all think only about themselves, to then point fingers at each other is to ignore the problem in the mirror, that the entire nation is narcissist n you can never find a middle ground.

If people are susceptible before a rich guy gives his 'propaganda', is it really the rich man's fault? If people don't have a backbone n empathy for others, is it the rich man's fault?

    They absolutely did.

It was created to mollify dissatisfaction among the lower classes by giving them a hope of a better future that, in reality, would probably never come.

This is projection. All you're saying here is that you lack empathy or compassion for your fellow man, and that you can't comprehend how anyone else could.

Well, that's your damage. It makes you the exception, not the rule.

I don't care for Trump, he is the court jester for the world during America's decline, he wouldn't be half as entertaining if it weren't for people loosing their shit so much about him. I got the popcorn ready for november 3.

Dude, plz take those millions n throw that issue aside, u got bigger issues, like china borrowing usa 1 trillion $ during obama...n then there's the rest of the trillions you owe...but hey, lets worry about trump business empire as if that is important..the most competent president (and trump is far from that) couldn't salvage usa.

Why do so many people base their politics on movie quotes on this forum? Never seen anything like it on other platforms I visit. It's like WoW attracts people who can only construct their version of reality from bits of movies and fantasy they've seen.

You literally ignored everything I said, and only deflect deflect take side-roads to fuel ur forum obsession. The american dream was born in the european immigrant before he even got there to gain opportunity away from crowded europe, to be less restricted. Now, you come talking this stupid crap about some rich guy making it all up n conning everyone?..dude, be more entertaining if u want me to keep replying to such nonsense.

Holy hell that's taking ye-olden American mythology at face value. I mean, yeah folks came here for "opportunity", but the notion of the "American Dream" died well over 100 years ago. People coming here to murder the natives and take/exploit the land when the government largely gave it to them for free was pretty rad and all, but like...that's got a shelf life, and eventually you run out of land to give away and resources are all privately owned and exploited. Ignoring a helluva lot more complex social issues including those fleeing religious persecution so they could persecute others over here etc.

I mean...the modern notion of it is pretty much purely fiction, and has been for well over a generation. The last group that could claim the "American Dream" was boomers.
