Someone pointing out that you are wrong is dishonest. You said every six months. But it wasn't. It was three. You are the one trying to bend the narrative. I'm telling you that when you say 6 months, you mean exactly 6 months. You used no qualifiers like approx 6 months or nearly 6 months. If you are not prepared to proof read your posts then that is on you.

I didn't say six months, a different poster did. No narrative was being bent by the other poster because things before now have reliably been 6 months. Just because they have now done 3 months doesn't change what has already happened.

THE SKY IS FALLING......THE SKY IS FALLING.....

omg guys, stop the drama. spring release.....next year release....PA-LEASE!

it will be this year. I would be that most of the people that are going to play it, have already paid for it. I dont think they are concerned with any other game release. Im looking for a Late November/Mid December release at the latest.

Baking "a" Cake is piss easy. I dont know what cakes you Specialise in. I´m a Cheff, and I can bake Cakes, my little neice can bake Cakes. Sure, there are Cakes that are Challenging. But if you think you can compare the difficulty of making a Game, with baking a Cake, you are rather Conceited.

But, the Interesting part is here:

Sure, might be. But in the end of the day. You make how many Cakes a day? Whats the longest time you worked on a Cake? As Food spoiles, I dont think you worked on a single cake more than a week. (Even if that long)

Now, the actual Baking time is probably never longer than an Hour. That means your Experience needs to to cover a variance of maybe 10% (If your Oven Sucks) Baking Time. (I´m no Baker, but my Oven works fine, I Know exactly how long stuff takes inside it.)

Now, if you think that is hard. Then try to reliably consider the time when a Digitial Product is "Done". Where there is NO SET TIME how long anything takes. In ANY Development you (from experience) roughly guess the time you need for certain things.

As a Baker you Bake a cake from a Recipe, you know exactly what you are doing. Development creates new things, that are not theire. And a developer needs to figure out how to do it. Especially Polish, and BugFixing is stuff you dont know how long it takes.

If you knew how to prevent/fix bugs, they wouldnt be there in the First place.

What I mean is lowbie characters you had that were in their 20's or whatever prior to 9.0 hitting can now reach level cap and gear a decent starting set of gear for when/if you eventually play them in the future or hell even starting a new character with Allied Races you just unlocked so you can get heritage armor for that race. No need to delete it if you can get decent gear to just play on it with. Those sorts of things. Also for those of us who have horrible RNG drops may need a little more time to get gear especially if the event isn't like the WOTLK or BC events where gear dropped off of mobs in the world and not dungeons.

Why cant they though? I know they can. They have Working ShadowLand Builds, there is no Reason why they could not apply those to the Live Servers. There is nothing preventing them. Except that they want Polish it, and fix some more Issues. They could however release it with these Issues, if they want.

They removed it because for some reason people thought that was the release date and it created confusion. Why these people thought that, I have no earthly idea as the season needed to have started before that dungeon weekly event would even happen.

Michigan isn't a country so what is your point? If anything is still singling out one thing over others.

How about the idea that this "pre patch" is actually the expansion? We will be playing this "pre patch" for about 2 years and then Shadowlands will actually be the 10.0 expansion? They are actually polishing up the next expansion while we are playing the current new 9.0 expansion. The zombie event is actually the first of the raids in our "pre patch" expansion. So..... this is it folks! Enjoy your new expansion currently running now. You are already leveled to the max level of 50 so have fun. SL (the future 10.0 expansion) is currently in Beta and will release in 18 months (or as I like to think of it.... Three more 6 month subscription transmogs).

    Stay safe and have fun!

If you buy shadowlands it has some statements around "will be released on or before Dec 31st 2020"

I think you could get into some interesting arguments around what does release mean. For example, we are playing 9.0.1 right now. Version 9 is Shadowlands, not BFA which was release 8.

Yes we call pre-patch but read the version, look at the loading screen, look at the "talent revamp". BFA systems have been removed (corruption) and those new things from Shadowlands have been added.

Perhaps that is legally enough to satisfy a 2020 release of Shadowlands that is written in the material.

A month and a half of no M+, raid, or PvP season? Even through the holidays, that's a rough way to start off your xpac.

It might seem early, but I'm still thinking they push a November 17 with December 1st raid release date.
Who knows, I can see them flippin the switch for Jan 4th for Normal and Heroic and then Mythics would drop on the 11th so it could work. Its possible that could slide everything down a week, but then were looking and another Emerald Nightmare scenario where its beat very quickly because of the extra time allowed..

Lets not forget ur 17th date falls in their thanksgiving break so its not a likely date either to launch a game thats more then likely going to be a broken mess while also putting players into an awkward situation as well..

They're not legally obliged to release it this year. They said WC3 Reforged would release in 2019 and then pushed it back to January 2020. Were there any legal consequences for Blizzard? No. All they had to do was offer refunds, and they already did that with Shadowlands because they already announced a release date and they already pushed that back. If they were legally obliged to release it in 2020 then they'd also be legally obliged to release it October 27th, because that was the confirmed release date.
