Mythic Ny'alotha Tuning Adjustments

Late yesterday, we made the following adjustments to Ny’alotha on Mythic difficulty:

• Damage and health of all enemies reduced 10%.
• Carapace of N’Zoth
  
  • Infinite Void damage reduced by 50% per stack, Black Scar damage reduced by 10%, and Mandible Slam damage reduced by 25%.

These hotfixes are live, and will appear in our next hotfixes update.

Doesnt developers usually clear mythic way before WF guilds? I mean they kill bosses with progress gear before releasing them.

I hope you all are being sarcastic but it can be hard to tell on these forums. But Ion’s Guild Elitist Jerks first killed Mythic N’zoth back in the beginning of June this year.

Was kind of expected after reclearing. While some of the aspects of Carapace/N'zoth were easier, some aspects were actually harder than prior to the pre-patch. The relative amount of %HP you lost with some abilities was way higher when pre-patch hit (some abilities in pre-patch could chunk you for 2/3 of your healthbar per damage instance, when prior they'd do less than 1/2 of your healthbar). All the bosses were certainly doable without these adjustments, but there's no real point in making the healing requirement higher than when it was still current content.

HP nerf was kind of expected again, especially if your raid stacked a bunch of classes that did really well in 8.3 but are not so great in pre-patch. Some of the timings and DPS checks changed with class changes. Furthermore, the removal of corruptions doesn't help with some timings. For example, if your hunters had the corrupted weapon to reduce the CD of abilities, your immunity rotation likely had to change for N'zoth. On the opposite end, if your mages are Frost now, you easily have double ice-blocks available (downside is their burst damage output isn't as relatively good as 8.3 Fire mage).

All in all, it's pre-patch, and Ny'alotha is basically old content at this point. I think most people don't want to waste their time having to relearn and redo progression, regardless if you've been done with mythic N'zoth for a long time, whether you were still progressing on him up to the pre-patch, or if you're just selling off the mounts.

Point still stands though. People quick to jump into insulting Ion, but how many of them actually got to N’zoth on mythic? Just makes me laugh.

I’ve killed it enough times for everyone in my guild that was in for the first kill to get the mount plus some extras. It’s not a hard fight. It’s pretty much don’t stand in the bad, and interrupt. WoW 101.

Grats. My guild has also killed it enough so that are roster has all earned it.
The point I’m making, which I don’t know if you missed or ignored, is that there are people making fun of Ion, for some reason, and players laughing right along with them who I bet haven’t ever even seen the fight on mythic without paying for it. Some of those players possibly haven’t even seen it on heroic without paying.

Look, if people want to hate the guy be my guest. I don’t really care. I just figure people can do so without being hypocritical about it. Especially when people act like they’re better than others while in reality they are equal or worse.
