You're talking about the one that happened within 24 hours of Israel suddenly withdrawing their opposition to Trump selling arms in the area.

Israel wants Trump to win. Trump gave them everything, after all. The strange thing isn't Israel making these big-sounding moves, it's that Trump isn't bragging about it louder.

Because Trump had nothing to do with them. That is why he isn't bragging about them. Though I think if Netanyahu is lucky, he won't end up in jail for the rest of his life with the charges I believe he is still facing.

Real peace? Oh, you mean the agreement we got from Israel to not get in the way of the USA selling weapons to the UAE?

Your perspective on setting the table for future arms deals is a little bit odd to me, cause I don't think they usually lead to peace.

That Israel will probably violate right away, like they have done with every other deal they have made this year.

Fucking hell. Good luck, you guys. We're having 20k cases a day here, so per capita we're probably worse off.

Damn... I mean I was predicting that we’d be close to 80k or just over, but 83K blew past that. I suspect that those numbers are a bit over what @Benggaul uses, I think his will be about 81K, but that is still really bad.

81,210 new cases, roughly 9.5k more than last Friday (yes, this number differs from @Edge's, but different sources blah blah blah). This is the first time the US has passed 80k daily new cases and is subsequently the new record for the nation. I hate to be pessimistic, but there's probably a good chance this record will be broken again next week.

Texas: 6,483 new cases; 76 deaths
California: 5,876 new cases; 52 deaths
Wisconsin: 4,378 new cases; 42 deaths
Illinois: 4,035 new cases; 41 deaths
    Fuck Florida.
Tennessee: 3,606 new cases (new record); 65 deaths (new record)
North Carolina: 2,716 new cases (new record); 32 deaths
Ohio: 2,535 new cases (new record); 22 deaths
Indiana: 2,467 new cases; 27 deaths
Pennsylvania: 2,258 new cases; 34 deaths
Georgia: 2,224 new cases; 37 deaths
Michigan: 2,046 new cases; 20 deaths
Utah: 1,960 new cases (new record); 4 deaths
Missouri: 1,892 new cases; 26 deaths
New York: 1,785 new cases; 13 deaths
Minnesota: 1,711 new cases; 13 deaths
Kentucky: 1,449 new cases; 16 deaths
Oklahoma: 1,373 new cases; 13 deaths
Colorado: 1,350 new cases; 13 deaths
Arkansas: 1,337 new cases (new record); 10 deaths
Alabama: 1,287 new cases; 16 deaths
Nebraska: 1,225 new cases; 4 deaths
New Jersey: 1,192 new cases; 8 deaths
South Dakota: 1,185 new cases (new record); 9 deaths
Virginia: 1,180 new cases; 15 deaths
Iowa: 1,111 new cases; 20 deaths
Idaho: 1,073 new cases; 9 deaths
Massachusetts: 1,070 new cases; 20 deaths
South Carolina: 1,064 new cases; 22 deaths

Arizona just barely missed the list and has been skimming just below the surface for a few days now. They'll probably tip back over into 1k territory more often next week. Once again several of those on the list that didn't have a new record either barely missed it or had a day within their top 5-10 highs. There were 29 states with over 1k. 12 states with over 2k. I wonder if South Dakota's Kristi Noem has anything smug to say about the new record they hit today. She's probably still being treated for straining her shoulder when she pat herself on the back a couple days ago. This SHOULD be the highest total for the week given that tomorrow is Saturday and totals usually go down as testing winds down, but that trend was bucked last time the US started spiking so I'm not going to bet anything on it. As I mentioned above, I doubt this is the peak of what we'll see during this wave. The US will pass 9 million cases this upcoming week.

903 deaths is about what we had last Friday, but we can expect that to continue trending up as next week rolls around, likely passing 1k more than once. 229,284 is the new total. 26 states had double-digit deaths.

    Well I mean consider this...

Places are reopening in droves. And nothing additional is being done to stop the virus’ spread. Places aren’t reopening because things are safer, they’re reopening because people got tired of them being closed.

I see no reason it would go down now or any time soon. Maybe if Biden wins he can get some sort of national-scale plan going, but without that there’s really no reason for this thing to slow down and go away. Not when conservative-leaning rural areas And midwestern states who refuse to wear masks “on principle” are now starting to get infected.

Until there’s a vaccine or a strong federal-level set of mandates, I don’t foresee this going down any time soon.

Reason number 15,700 to remove Trump from office: to help prevent the continued negligent deaths of Americans.

a peace deal built on "the Americans will sell us all the best weapons now if he just smile at Israel instead of our normal scowl but otherwise we'll continue ignoring them"

that's not a peace, that's an arms deal packaged to win votes.

Might as well sell the DPRK some missile guidance system in exchange for a signed peace treaty.

Just finished watching a documentary about a father reconnecting with his daughter after being released from prison after 15 years with the backdrop being them both getting stuck in a shithole country during the pandemic while he is trying to atone for his past.

Very heartwarming as they overcame all their struggles. I highly recommend Borat Subsequent Movefilm, Delivery of Prodigious Bride to American Regime for make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan
