I live in a large historical home in Chicago built in 1890, iirc. Technically, as listed, I have 6 "bedrooms" but they are small compared to more modern homes. Two of these bedrooms are so tiny a single full-sized mattress would occupy 90% of the space and the ceiling comes down in both. My house has 3 floors and a finished basement. About 5,000 square feet, when we first got this home it was shared by two families.

Effectively, we have four bedrooms though. I have two children and my husband works from home, one bedroom is his office basically.

    Three full bedrooms (normal-ish size)
    One guest bedroom (small)
Two full bathrooms (master bath and shared bath between my children)
Two half bathrooms (basement and guest)
    One laundry room
    One home office
    One living room
    One dining room
    One recreation area
    One storage room
    One playroom
    Two linen closets
    One kitchen
    One detached garage

I think there is a video tour of my house, before we moved in, on the internet somewhere. Either on the Oak Park website itself or the Sotherby's.

21, not counting halls and storage rooms
    First floor:
1 "Serre", no idea what it's called in english (a room basically built into the garden... there's a couch, a big tv and some art-ish-but-not-really-art stuff there, as well as plants that can't survive the winter on their own)
    1 Living room
    1 Dining Room
    2 Offices
    1 Kitchen
    1 toilet
    Second floor:
    4 bedrooms
    1 Entertainment room
    1 bathroom
    1 toilet
    Third floor:
    1 attic
    1 bedroom
    1 office
    1 random-stuff-room
    1 workshop-ish room (was old staff's kitchen)
    1 bathroom
1 minor workshop room (in practice mostly used for letting clothes dry)

4 bedrooms, although 1 is our non current console/PC cave. 2 baths, kitchen, dinning, sitting, great room, and finished basement with and arcade, laundry, and theater. So 13 if you count the individual rooms in the basement, 11 if you dont but count the basement, or 10 if you don't count the basement.

    No, we live in houses.
How would one even live in a door?

The kids split and we just downsized from 16 to 10. The struggle is real.

    My apartment: 4

Kitchen/living room is one. Kitchen is kinda separate by a half wall but still.
    Bathroom
    Bedroom
    Closet

My parents house where I lived most my life?

    A lot

    Ground floor:

    Basement
    Workshop

    First floor:

    Front Hall
    Living room
    Dining Room
    Kitchen
    Den
    Bathroom

    Second floor:

    Upper hall
    Bedroom 1
    Closet
    Bedroom 2
Sun room off of bedroom 2
    Bathroom
    Master bedroom
    Sideroom to the master bedroom
    Bathroom for the master bedroom
    Closet for master bedroom

    Third floor:

    Attic

    19 rooms

And I'm only counting closets if they're actual walk-in closets

If we want we can add more, upper garage for the car, lower garage for the lawnmower (the house sits on a berm, so the basement and lower garage actually go out into the backyard) and a room for smoking fish (hasn't been used for decades though, parents never used it.)

    3 bedrooms
    2 bathrooms
2 living rooms (the house was added on to later)
    1 dining room
    1 kitchen
1 hallway in the back of the house.

We have two storage closets in the hallway, but I don't count those as rooms. There's also a large carport area in the backside, bigger than most garages.

I looked but it seems they don't go back that far. So it's gone now I guess. It's a pretty cool old house though.

Ground floor is living room, connected with dinning, connected with Kitchen, L shape open floor.
One bathroom, one bedroom and technical room.

Upstairs 2 bedrooms, could be made into 3 or even into 4 small. 1 bathroom.

Outside double closed carport we are just building, a laundry storage small house we plan to convert into a guest apartment and my wood working workshop. And a small shed where we mostly keep firewood.
