Not vary fond of rap in general but I don't know if there is a particular singer/band I dislike

Probably Drake and any guy who sings like he does.
Can you sound more uninteresting and bored? It makes me bored... no energy, emotion or thought put into the voice.

I think if you ignore 2nd Law, pretty much everything Muse has written since has been good music. Different and away from their early style, but still very good music relative to a lot of new music these days. Apparently they are working on a new album for next year that will be more rooted in their early sounds. Simulation Theory was alright, I liked Drones more because it was rock heavy rather than being electronic heavy, but the themes and song structures were good on both albums.

But I absolutely hate Nickelback, literally every song sounds the same, they are as bad as AC/DC, but at least their music is fun and not all pissed off sounding post grunge noise.

I absolutely accept it if you don't like them, but saying you don't understand why they're so popular is just being blatantly ignorant.
so tell me, in all your universe-wide wisdom, what I--a mere mortal--should understand about the gods known as the Beatles. please, indoctrinate me, because, apparently, having a different opinion is ignorant.

Blink 182 and similar bands (Fall Out Boy, Sum 41, My Chemical Romance) that just had really nasally whiny fucking lead singers.
Just don't reply to me. Please. If you can help it.

Their style of music was actually fairly new for their time.

For example, one recording company rejected them believing guitar music was a passing fad.

Biffy Clyro. The singers voice drives me nuts.

Metallica. Always hated James Hetfield's voice.

I typically like Dream Theaters music but James LaBrie voice just annoys me and I still don't understand to this day why they kept him around. Big fan of John Petrucci though.

The Smashing Pumpkins and Beastie Boys. The vocals in the bands' songs just sound whiny and they grate on my ears. ._.

Too many to count, but one would be Oasis. Any modern singer doing that shit where they sound like they're gasping for air.
