Trump mishandling COVID situation vs some stock baby of elites pumping the "advising" $$ from corrupt companies in corrupt countries, while dad closes his eye on it.

And ultimately COVID failure outweighs the Biden family shady dealings. In this fight between bad and the worse, Trump is the worse for US.

The Steele Dossier was produced reputably and openly by an honest researcher whose qualifications and credibility were not in question.
The Steele Dossier contained unverified information, but clearly stated that it was unverified.
A lot of information in the Steele Dossier has been independently confirmed in the months since it was produced. It hasn't been discredited, at all.
The Steele Dossier had a clear investigatory origin path. We know where that information came from, and who produced it.

The laptops, however, were produced by some random legally blind computer repair shop guy, with no actual evidence that they were actually Hunter Biden's.
While a few details in the e-mails on the laptops have been tentatively confirmed, that doesn't mean the entirety is confirmed. It could simply mean that the fraudsters behind the laptops operated off some stolen information.
There is no reasonable path for said laptops to exist. Hunter Biden lives in California, not Delaware. He almost certainly would have taken the laptops to a reputable repair center, like an Apple Store, rather than this random shop owner. The owner cannot identify Hunter Biden as the person who dropped the laptops off. There is no financial path connecting the laptops to Biden. Etc. The origin of the laptops is so squirrely no one reasonable is taking them seriously.

And most importantly, perhaps, nothing in the laptop contents appears to actually point to any real corruption or criminality. They aren't a smoking gun, because there's no smoke there.

I could understand saying, lets wait for all the info to come out and the investigation to happen. But nope, they shouldn't even be entertained.

But the core point you don't seem to grasp is that, in that case, the laptop would be confirmation of what's already known to be true, and publicly admitted to by the Trumps.
