life will exist with or without us, especially with or without our decisions. nothing good about humans letting other humans know their place

At this point 10.0 reveal on November would be WAY to early. Usually perfect time is when last raid is already on PTR so last chapter of current story is no longer a secret.

With first raid coming early December, we will be around early days of SL season 3 next November. So February 2022 would be a lot more fiting date for next 'regular' Blizzcon.
Every other Blizzcon we had expansion announcements and every Blizzcon had been around November each year. If they push 10.0 announcement for Feb 2022, Shadowlands might end up being the longest expansion till date.

It was 100 million accounts, back in MoP.

Means that the game never retained more than a tenth for a longer period of time up until that point.

Wonder if they'll still make a "virtual ticket" for in-game goodies this year. Hell, EVERYTHING will be different...

Also, gotta love this. They announce free access to the event for everyone, yet people still see aCtIvIsIoN only, or romance about old timers that left but defo did make use of scripts regularly...

B-b-but... Whatever will he do if he can't blast the idea of inclusivity in the open chats of a PG13 game????

Thinking that competitiveness must come with toxicity and anti-SJW (rampant bigotry) mindsets is dumb in and of itself. No loss there.

Probably quite a bit more than 100 million. Otherwise the average account would have 1 character or less, even with 75 million, which doesn't make much sense.

If you have to be filled with hate in order to be competitive then that is your problem. Professional sports can manage it just fine so e-sports can as well. The only ones that need to grow a pair are those that get offended when they can not longer be toxic. Weird huh? The true snowflakes are those that can't handle being told they are toxic and a problem.

The data he's shared on characters created and levels dinged, has been for 2020.

Clearly there's by now FAR more accounts made in total, than 100 million 8 years ago.

I didnt say it must come with toxicity, its just that nowadays, almost anything mildly offensive is considered a catastrophe, common sense just died.

    Which is simply not true.

Case in point: Borat 2 just came out.

There's a difference between being offensive, and just being a plain old racist/sexist/whateverist shitbag needing to air one's thoughts for all to see. One can be done with tact, for a purpose even, the other is just a person being a shitty person.

Common sense is not the same thing according to everyone. There are countries where common sense dictates that you never criticize the government, for example.

To me, it's fucking common sense that someone stupid enough to shout the N-word over coms as they compete professionaly, face consequences. Professionalism is a thing. Same with people choosing, CHOOSING, to talk about how horrible inclusion is and other real world politics in public chats in WoW or any other game. Scream among friends, rant among friends. Make it public where it's even stipulated as against the rules? Yah... No sympathies.

I saw 2 Swedes face consequences as they were talking about 2 of our political parties in /trade. There was no cursing, no bigotry, just talking and of course, not listening to others telling them that wasn't the place to discuss politics. Both got silenced. As it should be.

Listen, harp on his record or failures i guess but he's not soulless. Not everyone is good at reading a prepared statement and being natural. It takes practice and its a very difficult time right now. He's probably feeling a little nervous in general even without having to give a statement that will be picked apart by millions until at least february when he has to do it again for Blizzconline.

Mike Morhaime was very raw for many of the blizzcon opening ceremonies. It wasn't the same as this per say but i've met Brack at blizzcon once or twice. He was very nice and warm in person.

Oh, but someone with the username BALLS repeated 3 additional times would surely be a leading example of prowess when it comes to oration!

    Yeah, maybe not.

Ooooooor, they want to give something they don't have to give during times such as these? Shocking, I know, to learn that 2020 has been a shitshow.

Blizzcon is never profitable nor does it seek to be, this year is no different. They've already made bank as a game company in these times.

Dude we have longest expansion right now. SL is 3 months later than BfA/Legion and future Blizzcon would be 3 months later than current. 10.0 would be revealed in February, Alpha on April, Beta on July, launch on November.

It wouldn't be just doable, it would be just usual Alpha/Beta cycle. Only difference that reveal would be rather in BfA stage (so game ready for Alpha just 2 months later) than SL (without Corona and working from home Alpha would launch on March).

"Over 9 billions wisps and ghosts in Classic" Are they proud of this for some reason? Because players dying over and over isn't the sign of a good game.

Shame that they don't publish those funny lists anymore where you could see which NPCs have killed the most players and who has gotten hit the hardest etc.
