LOL, damn amazing what a few hours can do
Guess this is where the excuses start to come in and the attempt at "good news".

The only good news is the senate, but bad news for the country in getting anything done.
    Buh Byeeeeeeeeeeee !!

Not, "how you going to let 10,000 of people die from lack of access to health care?", or "how you going to let 500,000s Americans go bankrupt due to medical bills?" Those questions are never asked of opponents of Universal Healthcare, just like it's never asked how they going to pay for Tax Cuts or Military Spending. There is a whole narrative you fight against as a socialist/democratic socialist, and it's a lot to override.
That’s not it... Listen to Trump...

The elites have ran our healthcare and stolen our money. We need healthcare for real Americans, not insurance companies with board members all over the world. Healthcare for Americans, by Americans.

The meltdown over this from him and the other usual suspects on the right is going to be legendary. They're just, obviously, distracted atm.

Obama got 69.5 million in 2008.

Trump is sitting just above 69 right now, and most states haven't finished counting yet. By the time the counting is 100% done in all the red and western states, he'll likely rake in another million votes.

And honestly that is a terrifying number.

There are at least 70 million people in the country who look at Donald Trump and say - Yes, that is the man I want in charge of my country.

I think there might have been a mistake that Trump would hurt down voting, but I think that’s what gave him a lift. You go R for senate and house, might as well go R for president.

Normally yes. Except this time nearly half of the voters are literally voting for a man who is destroying democracy, the country, the economy and the world itself.

He's both a symptom of a larger problem, and a problem himself. I'm not sure why the two would be mutually exclusive?

    Agreed.

Rewarding such a disastrous Presidency with such a successful election will harm America for a long long time.

This. Just because an underlying condition causes a symptom doesn't mean you don't combat the symptom.

And that larger problem is Rupert Murdoch and his media empire

At least in the UK, Australia and the US.

I will never forget the Aussie Daily telegraph (well, the Sunday telegraph, which is the sunday version) saying "Australia needs Tony" on its front cover back in 2013.

At least the recent Queensland state election made Murdoch cry. And looks like he is going to cry again if current trends continue in the US.

That's not a thing here. Piss off for even attempting to draw that equivalency.

If you are voting for Trump you are voting for a fucking fascist who is directly responsible for the death of hundreds of thousands of your countrymen and the destruction of the economy.

If an actual real dumpster fire was running against Trump you would still have the moral and factual obligation to vote for the dumpster fire if you even remotely gave the smallest of fucks about the country, the world and our future.

That's kinda the benefit of mindless demagogues - They'll get a ton of support, but they're often dumb as piss and incapable leaders.

I'm not sure about the bold though. What's the implication here? That getting rid of Trump after one term will mean a "smarter" Trump will come later? Would this "smarter" Trump not be coming if Trump had multiple terms here? I'm not getting it.

I guess 4senators per state with % of senators picked by % of vote? I guess is a step at least.

If he loses they may have to ban him to keep him from trying to start a civil war.
