The only thing I hate more than Donald Trump are Progressive commercials. After this year, Donald Trump will be out of the White House but we will still get Progressive commercials. I know Donald Trump has killed nearly 200,000 people, but have you seen a Progressive commercial? Why haven't the GOP run counter ads calling them dirty socialist insurance company?

The Republican voters elected the Republican officials pulling these shenanigans. In most cases, they reelected the same people on Tuesday.

Yes, I think Republican voters are happy with legislative attempts to obfuscate and delay the counting of legal votes if doing so allows them to "own the libs".

I had that exact same thought earlier today. After four years of always expecting the worst, anything else will feel really weird.

Iowa gets away with it because Iowa uses a caucus.

Trump is a fuckstain and no court, not even SCOTUS, will change a legal vote to overturn an election.
If Biden can flip Pennsylvania/Georgia and/or maintain his lead in Arizona and Nevada, then I'm pretty dang sure he's going to successfully become president.

Those things just gotta happen first. After that, I am extremely doubtful that Trump could coerce a victory out of both an electoral college and popular vote defeat. Between his meltdown, states already telling Trump to sod off with his legal challenges, and McConnell's likely malignant pride at retaining the senate and having used Trump for all he wanted him for, I very much doubt that enough people that matter are willing to go to bat for Trump on it.

Me and none of the others here have any issues with you calling out that there is problems and this is screwed up, you are just flat out wrong on the part where you tried to give the Democrats ANY part of the blame for it.

Even if Biden takes the president and the Democrats keep the House, unless they take the Senate, they still can't fix anything because the Republican will refuse to get off their fat, lazy, useless bum ass to fix anything if it servers them personally better being broken.
Well If I didn't convey my obvious bias as a Democrat and over all not blaming any party particularly. My Apologize

I am just legitimately angry at what a cluster fuck this turned out to be yes EVEN with Biden Winning. I am beyond happy about that, I am livid that this is how it had to come down. As i said again, I accept what you said as to the reason why.

My point is really after the pandemic, and getting the country where it needs to be we NEED to fix this and no more putting it on the back burner. And hopefully if Trumpsters and Republicans are pissed off enough, we can set aside politics and just fix this.

    My proposal.

Mail in Ballots need to be incorporated into the process. Security and Efficiency being the top priority.

Ralph NAder is we who we've always known him to be. The fucking handmaiden to conservatives. Also the US Green party.

    Ralph Nader
Trump is speaking now before the media. NPR cut off him off for a fact check. Unacceptable decision. I then scrolled through all the many commercial radio stations. They were not carrying Trump's remarks. Misusing our public airwaves, free.

Fuck yourself Ralph, and fuck anyone that ever voted for the guy.

Unfortunately Trump is doing everything possible to delegitimize mail-in ballots and his supporters are eating it up. I doubt Trump supporters or the people they put in power are likely to go for that.

You don't want more than one state to be the first primary, it is too difficult for a large number of candidates to make themselves known to voters in the first place, spreading that out across two states makes it even harder.

Let NH move up to where Iowa is now, move PA or GA (or both) to where NH is now, and move IA to Super Tuesday.

I'll be honest that surprises me, I always regretted maybe not being able to vote for Nader not so much anymore.

Even if that makes it easier for everyone over all. Politics are politics but with Trump losing, I would think Trumpeters and Republicans would leap at a chance to being able to use mail in voting as part of their process of getting more voters.

That works for me. It was mostly a slight tongue in cheek because NH's law is so dumb anyways.

But yeah, IA getting this much attention is just useless anyways. No reason why they need to be one of the first states included. Give people a reason to get excited to vote from the very beginning by appealing to where most people live.

If I understand correctly, the current makeup of the Senate (not including the 2 Georgia seats), is 50-48 Republican.

In Georgia, there will be 2 runoff elections in early January for the 2 Senate seats since no one got over 50%

If the democrats get both, then it will be 50-50 in the Senate, so Kamala Harris would be the 51st vote to break ties.

Presumably, the two democratic Senate candidates will do about as well as Biden did in the Presidential election.

Being 2020, Christmas will be brutal in Georgia this year. Not one, but two Senate races for all the marbles with lots of campaign money flowing from the whole country, not to mention the rest of the world weighing in as well. Political ads will DOMINATE the airwaves.
