Probably MIB. Shield is too publicly known so even if you have a deskjob people would probably harass you about it, while a MIB deskjob you can just use a regular boring job as cover story. I guess as long as you don't work in a major facility the risk of work related death is not that high for either. I guess if you are a low ranking employee the mind wipes will also be much less invasive.

MIB also has a better human/alien rights policy i think, but that's probably just because it's a more humorous setting that doesn't need evil things for their narratives to work.

shield is definitely the kind of organization where you will have people protesting in your parking lot a lot of the time. and since it's not a secret organization most jobs won't have/need a cover. shield is pretty much the only thing regular people can point the finger at for all the bad stuff that happens all the time in their universe. it's just a job that will come with a lot of stigma depending on which way the wind blows (as has been the plot several times).

meanwhile MIB is a much smaller operation with actual means to keep their existence a secret, and the frequency of shit hitting the fan is a lot lower too.
