As pointless as when russkie militay airplanes routinely violate neighbouring countries.
But soon after Mr Xi secured a third term, Apple released a new version of the feature in China, limiting its scope. Now Chinese users of iPhones and other Apple devices are restricted to a 10-minute window when receiving files from people who are not listed as a contact. After 10 minutes, users can only receive files from contacts.
Apple did not explain why the update was first introduced in China, but over the years, the tech giant has been criticised for appeasing Beijing.

Yup they do that once in a while, so i don't get why when the US does it's a bigger deal. People in glass houses and all that.

Dunno why US did this either. That being said "once is a while"? it's frequently.

Might have understated it a bit.

Well, Russians been lacking in the tech area since Sputnik. Not easy to navigate around a round bigass stellar object.

Probably for the same reasons that russian fighter jets keep buzzing our bombers, etc. To test and learn the opponents responses to these incursions.
