I can't find the original interview but I found a 2nd one where they basically ask a follow up to what Ion meant.

Only things left that we know of.

They could invent a new landmass on the other side of the planet like Australia.

Anyway, OP, since you've got a crystal ball apparently, what's after that? Since you seem to indicate there's absolutely nowhere else to go.

No, it won't be, that would be the certain death of wow.

They didn't say time skip. They said time flowed differently in the Shadowlands.

If anything, Jaina expressing as if she had been trapped in the Maw for months (of not years) in the time it took us to go in would suggest that time flows faster in the Shadowlands.

When the expansion ends, its entirely possible only a few weeks had passed outside.

This whole expansion is as bleach style commercial break

Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor are boring and I really want to forget about existence of Alliance and Horde.

Yes the wow universe is smaller than the earth. When you press 'M' you see all the universe contains. We've been everywhere.

Pretty sure the map isnt to scale with the lore of the places, I think its for ease of clicking on where you want to look at

Edit: I'm pretty sure KT used to be in the bay between wetlands and arathi which it clearly doesn't fit in on the map

They didn't retcon the size, the size you see ingame is purely just for gameplay. This is the chronicles map from legion which gives a much more realistic scale of the broken isles

That being said (not saying they are doing this btw), it reminds me of that old maps that show america as a tiny island and small landmasses like continents.
Compare WoW Broken Isles to the WC3 version.

It's still huge compared to Wc3 and Wc2 (certainly didn't have some of the tallest mountains on Azeroth back then).

Next expansion will invoice the Legion, as so far it has only been setbacks.

5 Dragon Aspects (Black, Blue, Red, Green, Bronze) - 4 levelling zones plus max level zone (Black Dragonflight) - helping each of the leaders of the dragonflight regain their titan imbued powers to help us in the future blah blah blah

Barely anyone knew the shadowland before the expansion, and we knew nothing of what it was.
It's really up to blizzard to do whatevere they want, dragon isles or not. The theme of the expansion is irrelevant. They made just a patch out of Nazjatar, but they could have easily made a whole expansion out of it, they just choose not to.

they could literally separate kalimdor and the eastern kingdoms further apart, move the maelstrom up and drop a new giant landmass in the middle for the next expansion to take place on and nobody would give a fuck. "we've explored the map" means nothing.

I want a world reworkd again but its too much time consuming to creating this so the endgame would be empty i guess. I think the best thing they could do is zone rework in patches for example we got 10.2 there will be mainly new thing around the new expansion but additional they reworked southern barrens and i got new quests and a little changedd look, in patch 10.3 we got westfall etc.

wrong. they fcked the zones with the cataclysm and now is the perfect time to repair them

Kinda surprised we never got an Australia themed anything, considering how unique the fauna are there.

Maybe one day we will get to visit the ancient lost continent of Dau'Nunda
