So I stopped playing shortly before 1.1 came out and I finally decided to check out the game again. I saw I could do 10 rolls on the banner and immediately got Zhongli and Xinyan. Did they change something or did I just blow through all my accumulated luck?

That's been the theme of this thread every time money comes up. It's like people can't fathom the idea of individuals with different lives, incomes, hobbies, etc.

I'm going to approach this from a different angle: Cost (as opposed to value).

A dollar menu burger at mcdonalds is a dollar. The fact that a dollar means less to a billionaire is irrelevant. If you spend $20 on a burger from mcdonalds, you know you overpaid.

Video games are the same way. You should get roughly 40 hours of unique and novel content out of $60 price. I define "whale" as someone who spends in excess of this normal equation. Which means I classify basically anyone spending more than just the $12 BP and the $5 "90 primos a day" thing as a whale essentially. $200 might not get you much, but $200 is $200. Whale has nothing to do with how much pay2win power you get from tossing money at the game and entirely everything to do with just how much money you toss at it.

You just got lucky or were really close to the pity from before. The timer never resets and carries over from the previous banner that occupied the new banner's slot.

Sadly, I have Fischl C6 and Sucrose C5... so I won't be rolling on it.

I kinda wonder how all these Geo characters compare to Geo-MC tbh.

If I look at the numbers here, Geo-MC outperforms Albedo by quite a bit.
Same thing with Zong.

Geo-MC Q hits 5 times I believe? You get the +3 skill easily, so you can rank it up to skillvl 13.
Which is 1500%+ damage - adds +10% crit to the party and interrupt resistance
Geo MC E hits for 527 at lvl 13, again - relatively easy to reach due to C6.
Geo MC E hits twice sometimes (depending on who's close when it expires/explodes) - so 1000%+ dmg sometimes.

Geo MC E is on a 6s CD cooldown, a Geo construct and you can have 3 at the same time


He is very good at blocking nasty range attacks too.
I don't know how fast Geo MCs auto attack is compared to Albedo's, but his % values are 30% higher there too, on top of a much stronger 5-hit combo finisher that deals AoE damage.

Don't get me wrong, it's amazing that the F2P character is that strong. That's how it should be!
I just don't know if I'd ever pick a sub/dps-Geo over him. DEF% Scaling isn't that good.
And Albedo needs C2 to catch up to Geo-MC in terms of damage imho.

It's obviously an opinion. However, lets look at objective facts then. The amount of novel content, the graphics, the world size are all larger in RDR2. The character systems, the NPCs, the freeform action are all objectively deeper.

GI is a grind machine with a casino attached, and while some people might get more enjoyment out of that type of gameplay (mindless zombie time sinks), that doesn't excuse the fact that getting a single character in a game for $100 is objectively poor comparative value if you remove the emotional consideration.

This is all besides the point: $200 a month on a faceroll clicky game is whaling. Most games don't even give you the option to spend more on them than their base price, which is how it should be. Encouraging gacha games is like encouraging people to be smokers or gambler addicts. It should be shunned and frowned at every turn.

If you really want to look at it objectively. Genshin is more valuable as it has contributed more to society. Genshin Impact has inspired thousands of artists to create hundreds of thousands of amazing works of art and then freely post it on the internet for others to experience. And some of it isn't even porn. Sure there is also art of RDR2 but its not even close to the volume of GI.

I think the only reason some may roll on it is for the 5*. Sucrose is too soon. She was with Klee and a ton of people wanted Klee so they probably have a lot of Sucrose. I think Fischl was already on the very first banner and I don't really think Bennett is considered good.

I hope the next banner is something decent.

My lv 50 Bennett has been carrying my Klee in the electro domain farming. Klee is useless af in there.

Next, they need to change all respawns to be based on server reset time, and not when you last looted it. Idk who thought that was a good idea.

Also, remember that the new BP starts this week. Don't kill the newest boss right away, they are adding a bp quest in to kill him like the other two. So wait until after the 23rd to maximize your points this week.

Uh what? $200 / month is not whale territory lol. Not even close. You might get a heart attack if you saw what the "whales" spend on this game then.

It is whale territory. As I said here:

Just because you're not the top 0.1% doesn't mean you're not a whale.
I felt bad for spending a lot because I spent ~100 dollars the first 2 months.

And yes, I know there are people who spend thousands a month, but if your definition only counts those, well.. It's wrong.
He's spending over 3x the cost of a AAA game A MONTH. On a free to play game. That's a whale.

For Abyss mages, it's ideally

Use Pyro against Cryo
Use Cryo against Hydro
Use Hydro against Pyro
(Other elements such as Electro do some damage but are not especially good against any of them.)

And for Fatui:
Use Pyro against Cryo
Use Cryo against Electro
Use Electro against Hydro
Use Hydro against Pyro
Use Claymores or Geo (or Klee bombs) against Geo
And I don't believe Anemoboxers have shields that you have to worry about.

Venti + Fischl was considered top SS tier deluxe edition by every reroll guide there was. So people went all in there already.
Sucrose came out alongside Klee. Klee was considered to be high DPS by every "should you roll on this banner"-guide and discussion... And she is by far the cutest character •^.^• . So people went all in there already. On top of that, Xinqiu was in there too and he is a top tier 4* too and I'd argue a lot of people tried to C6 Noelle there too. Since everyone has her.
Bennett is already super fine at C1 and he could be bought in the shop.

Since 4* characters start to repeat now, I'd say that people will start rolling less on banners, especially if they don't want the 5*.

It's weird that C6 Bennett is actually a downgrade for most teams.
Kinda scary when you get him randomly over months/years and upgrade him on accident because of the annoying "!" next to his constellation.

Could infact even destroy his use entirely depending on who your main DPS is.
