Objections are just objections, what they're doing is purely performative. The resulting deliberations will be meaningless since a majority vote in both House and Senate is required to reject the votes.

It's just going to drag out the counting process by at most an extra twelve hours or so.

Mitch may be publicly bothered, but honestly I bet he just laughs it off in private. It reminds me of the photo of a possum in the dessert box that already ate everything. He's done significant damage to the country for nearly a decade. He won't suffer any consequences for being one of the most destructive political forces in US history.

If neither side can ever have full control, compromise is inevitable.

This assumes both sides simply don't agree on things. Plenty will get done, just not anything anybody wants. The areas of overlap like, bailing out finance and the banking institutions, going to war and shoveling trillions into the pentagon ofcourse will continue. Stuff like Prop 22 from CA but nationwide will be very achievable in that scenario. But you know if you, a typical American ever want a life of dignity, or any sort of happiness, well you are fucked in that scenario.

What America really needs is ranked choice voting and more parties to represent more voices.
