so im looking at power supplies since i NEED to start ordering parts for a computer for a very specific reason. at least the ones i can right now. (if your curious pm me.) so my question is this why are there almost no silver rated 750's in stock but plenty of bronze and gold one's in stock? is there some sort of price point that was attractive about them? i understand there is a pandemic but that doesn't totally explain to me why the other 2 ratings are in stock and silver isn't. is it too niche a rating to keep in constant stock? gold ones are too expensive for me but the bronze one's don't seem good enough for the 3060 i hope to be able to acquire later on in late summer when i build my new pc. lastly is coolermaster or aresgame a decent power supply?

IDK the answer as to why, but it seems there is only 5 silver rated PSUs on Newegg.

so then ill just go with a 750w bronze evga. i guess the rating system itself gave me the impression that silver is better. gold is a bit pricey for me. is there any real difference? Originally Posted by chazus

It's a standard for how much your PSU wastes when not under load and how much it draws from the wall to get it's power rating. Saves you some $ on your energy build, but doesn't really mean shit when it comes to power delivery/reliability/etc.
