Sci-fi isn't typically my jam, but there are a few shows I think I could say would be worth watching.
Cowboy Bebop - Classic show, the space cowboy. One of the most popular anime ever.
Carole & Tuesday - Two girls on Mars set in the same universe as Cowboy Bebop, trying to make it big as musicians. A lot of social commentary in this one, as refugees from earth are sort of treated like immigrants in our world.
Clockwork Planet - Earth was destroyed, or something, and some guy made a new planet that works off gears. I consider this more of a comedy, as the AI girl had me laughing almost every scene she's in.
A Certain Magical Index/A Certain Scientific railgun - People have esper powers, most people do anyway. Set in a place called Academy City, where, as Misaka says "never a dull moment". I've only seen the Railgun side, I've heard Index has a different feel. Sort of set at the same time.
Steins;Gate - I'd get words if I didn't put it on the list. Crazy college guy accidentally finds a way to send text messages back to the past, changes a bunch of stuff, and has to fix everything. There's a sequel of sorts that takes place in a separate timeline, though I've heard it's not as good, or at least wasn't as well received. One of the most popular anime out there.
All of em have excellent dubs as well, which often is considered a much more subtle acting than what can sometimes be over-the-top stuff in Japanese.

My last vacation was only 7 days but it was incredible.

Today is not shaping up well. Both dogs had emergency vet appointments last week and that was $600 in visits. One is facing a potential surgery. Now my car’s check engine light is on. Blargh.

Someone is going to be biking to work
I've been very lucky and have been working from home full time for 5 years (with a smattering of in-office appearances, hence owning a car). So no need to bike
They should both recover just fine. Godiva was biting at an itchy spot that turned it into an infected sore, so she's on antibiotics and a collar, and Bailey has an infected anal gland again, which is why he's facing surgery if this round of antibiotics doesn't fix it. But, in the end, both dogs should be fine

Well that's good that it's nothing to serious ( Hopefully )
Aww
My cat had an abscess on her butt below her tail. We had no idea (and thought she was dying) because all she was doing was sitting on my bed, until I picked her up and felt a bump near her tail. My mother paniced and called the vet. I was in possible THE worse pain ever until I got a text saying he was ok, and they were bringing her home
I never want to experiance something like that again.Ever.

It's not fun at all. At least your kitty is fine, too, I get why you would have panicked a bit.
We never knew he had the first one. He's always been a cranky dog when it comes to long walks, so we thought he just didn't want to walk. Somehow we completely failed to notice the abscess, it bursting, and the infection cleaning itself up. He must have been in awful pain. By the time we took him to the vet the first time back in July it had already resolved itself...more or less...so they put him on antibiotics and expressed everything. Now it's acting up again, but this time we're ready and we noticed the change in behavior right away.
I still feel terrible, knowing I let my precious baby down.
