I find it ... exhausting that censorship is now not considered an attack on free speech... it seems such a ludicrous notion to entertain that I'm not really sure how to go about deconstructing it without simply insulting you for the absurdity of your position.

Now before someone goes about screaming about being allowed to distribute child porn no one is arguing these platforms suddenly be made to distribute illegal materials. With that said to appease the one weirdo who thinks that is a valid argument , allowing corporate entities to have a strangle hold on the most widely used and viewed platforms is going to end badly for everyone.

You don't really grasp the conversation if you believe a corporation deciding what is and isn't acceptable speech on one of the largest platforms is akin to chain store.

I would argue your so far out to lunch that you are a detriment to the conversation. I would argue there is good cause to go about expanding the right to free speech to better account for what has changed rather then trying to use it as a club to restrict the average person.

    Oh come off it.

Conservatives spend years screaming and hollering that businesses were allowed to deny services to customers based on their political/religious point of view (see, baker not baking a cake for gay couples).

You're just mad that it's you who's being told to get the fuck off a platform. Had Twitter started banning liberals you'd be applauding them.

What’s the difference between parlor and gab?

As I told others, if you are going to be shitting on AWS, please reach out to MS and see if you can get paid for advertising Azure. I think only your avatar will change to an MS logo, otherwise you can continue to pretend AWS controls the internet.

You keep not grasping that you aren't entitled to Twitter account, it's privilege given by Twitter itself.

So, yes, much like Walmart, if you break the rules, they have the rights to kick you off. And find a place that fulfill your needs.

There is more to this world then your narrow view of blue and red... I don't applaud disgusting behavior because I'm obsessed with political point scoring... if your mentality is that I would suggest you reflect on your life. Maybe find a religion to devote yourself to. No politician deserves nor I would argue should have that level of dedication given to them. They are your servants not the other way around.

It’s complete and absolute ignorance of how IT works... Felya can host his own site in 1995 at 15... Conservative social media can’t do it, with millions of dollars backing them, in 2021. Yet, these people trust their social security numbers and driver license to such incompetence? They should be worried about that escaping, due to sheer incompetence of these people. Going on Fox and bitching about Amazon, will not protect your data.

I understand that I simply disagree with the very notion a corporation should have that level of control of speech to start with. Me pointing out someones utterly absurd example isn't someone how deflecting from that.

Except, once again, you arent entitled to a Twitter account.

And since we are talking about Trump, he is the person with the most available platform for his speech. He has all the media right there, inside the White House.

I am sure China or Russia will welcome you with open arms. We literally have the second amendment, because government can’t force us to bring shit into our home, that we do not want. What is the cause that you are willing to give up your freedom for? Conservatives complaining on largest rated cable network, that they are silenced? That’s what is challenging our freedom of enterprise? You think democrats controlling social media will be better, right?

Joe Biden just nominated Hillary Clinton as the social media Czar that is responsible for levying guidance on social media. That’s the future they want...

Edit: Oh and FYI... @Krakan if conservatives get their wish and government starts heavy handed regulation of social media. Do you think democrats would grant Trump his account back? You think democrats controlling social media, at least for the next two years, would be better for Trump and conservatives? Are you sure?

Yes that is why I am saying that it is likely time to amend the first right to further expand its protections. I don't agree with the idea that corporations should have a monopoly on speech. For some odd reason noone wants to address that and instead wants it to be a fight between political parties...

I don't want either party in control of it... why are you all like this? Read what I'm actually writing.

I think they are all forgetting who will be controlling social media, if they get their wish. Trump and GOP control of senate is gone in 6 days... Do they think the pundits generating support and revenue on this hysteria, ever mention that they are arguing for democrats to control social media? Oh... I forgot... you can’t really say Trump lost on conservative media or you might lose conservatives viewers... they think it will be Trump controlling it... lol

You want government moderation of social media. In 6 days democrats control the federal government. You are saying exactly what I am saying, you just don’t realize it, because the pundits you listen to, treat you like an idiot. I’m not saying you are, but the amount of information they seem to leave out, means they are trying to keep you ignorant of reality.

Is it my fault that your pundits don’t explain this? I think it’s yours for still trusting them, while they think so little of you to pass such a blatant lie...

I want the right to speech extended... I have no interest in government intervention beyond that. We are not in anyway saying the same thing.

Yeah, a lot of Trump supporters are most definitely lost on irony. That is why I always find it funny when they call something Trump did as great when if it were someone else, they would hate it. I believe they generally have to look at their feet to walk otherwise they would just trip over their own shoes.
