Speculation: No 9.3?

I was just thinking what if we're not getting 9.3 with Shadowlands and that's why there's a delay with 9.1 PTR. Also, 9.1 will come with flying that is usually scheduled for the middle of expansion. My bet is that due to the delay and coronavirus WFH situation we will have just two major patches this cycle with 10.0 reveal this November on Blizzcon 2021.

i mean if you think about it, expansion is 2y and there are usualy 3 major patches, so we have 4 "parts" (with x.0) so each can be half a year, if they are working on 9.1 and plan to introduce it on Blizconline and put it on testing right away they still have over 2m of PTR to manage it within half a year of expansion release...

so if they delayed announcement of patch and not work on it, and they will put it on PTR with it being 90% done already its not realy issue, sure its later than usual but thats hardly surprise as the expansion was also later than it should

I totally disagree. I think the reason you don't have a .1 yet is because there was a turn over of employees, delaying it a bit and because they are saving it for the February Blizzcon, obviously.

It happened in WoD because they abandoned the expansion as it was a disaster. I highly doubt it's going to happen again, and see no reason to assume it will based on any information currently.

They even said the reason why the raid wouldn't be delayed was to stop the entire expansions release cycle from being disrupted.

we will see. They also need to move the story forwards. and give new content to play. And they also said the Jailor is not the end boss of the expansion. So that means he either goes away ( killed by a bigger bad) or we kill him in patch 9.1

So time will tell.

My dads cousins uncles roommate in college's step nephew works at Blizzard. He said there won't be a 9.1 and the expansion is already over. Tell Joe from HR that I said hi.
