I was going to post how Trump can brag about crowd size for the Inauguration as snark, but this adds much context.
Honestly I’m hoping Biden holds a small, socially-distanced masks-required inauguration in some secure location, not only to combat Covid but to prevent any more of Trump’s cultists from trying anything.

My faith in my American president hinges on how badass he is with evil bastards. No negotiations or bargains, but action. I thought this is why Taiwan seemed to like Trump; the fact he took action compared to his predecessors and pacifism.

Hah! You want a strongman as a leader. Even worse, you mistook Trump for being that strongman. That's just all kinds of sad.

And even if that was the goal they are backing the wrong one.

Trump isn't actually going to war; he is pulling back forces - he just wants to be seen as tough and hopes that no-one calls the bluff.

And the "Conservative" party has been falling over themselves to kiss his feet for the past 4 years with massive approval rating from them when he did those actions which only started to fall when intentionally risked the lives of other conservative leaders and skill commands a decent amount of that approval.

These actions are further evidence that what you described IS modern American conservatism.
Since we can't call out Trolls and Bad Faith posters and the Ignore function doesn't actually ignore it. Add
    "mmo-champion.com##li.postbitignored"
to your ublock or adblock filter to actually ignore ignored posters. Now just need a way to ignore responses to them as well.

That's probably closer to the truth. It's hard to nail down a clear political ideology because ultimately he's a Trumpist. Trumpists do what they think benefits Trump. I remain convinced that his followers would fully back a progressive socialist agenda if Trump was the one presenting it to them.

    Graham calls upon McConnell dism..

    (checks news)

Graham calls upon Schumer to dismiss impeachment charges, calling them "vengeance and political retaliation" after backing Trump's twitter feed for four years.

He also calls them "unConstitutional" which, well, no they're not. He just disagrees with them.

He does, however, raise a point: a loophole by which Republicans can vote "no" without admitting they're traitors to the country who support murderous insurrection.

The impeachment power exists to protect the Nation from the harm that an incumbent president might inflict upon the Nation were he to remain in office, not to vindicate political grievances after a president has left office
Now he's still a hypocrite. The reason the Senate hasn't voted yet is because McConnell said there'd be no vote. However, again, Graham provides what's left of the Republican Party with a talking point.

Oh, and he also calls for "national healing" after, you know, Trump ordered his murderous insurrectionist thugs to ransack the Senate while Graham was in it.

Pretty much. Trump went and "negotiated" with the worst of the worst, and got a pinky swear out of them. The whole thing was a disaster, as was to be expected. Looking at you, North Korea.

Having some fun watching Trumpsters at the airport.

It's lines like that that should really make the parody the poster is trying to portray that much obvious. It ranks up there with Knadra's 'I don't care if the president does crimes as long as he's on my team!' quote that I'm sure someone around here has in their sig.

Does it, though? He's a full-blown Trump supporter. And Trump went and negotiated with Taliban and North Korea. And Trump didn't give a shit when American soldiers were on Russian bounty lists. Not one peep ever came out of Trump on the subject. And let's not even talk about the "trade war" with China...

Well, I guess it does, if he is really devout in his worship, and blinded by the majestic Golden Calf that is Donald Trump.

Trump supporters were always about bullish message and posturing over actual action or results.

So... who does Giuliani figure is going to pardon him?

Not Trump now. Guiliani has been telling him that he's been selling the pardons for $1m!

    Per article:

He has also discussed issuing pre-emptive pardons to his children, his son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner, and Mr. Giuliani.
Sell pardons, make money, pardon selves for selling pardons.

He's certainly running out of time if he wants to do that. I'm very much hoping he forgets.
