In reality, it's more of a progressive versus regressive situation, values which are shared by most on the political spectrum except the far-right (and to a lesser extent, the right).

It has to do with protected classes. Denying service to someone due to their membership in a protected class is illegal. That's why bakeries were sued, for denying service because their customers were gay, in a State where sexual orientation was a protected class.
"Racist bigots" and "violently abusive people" and "shitposting idiots" and so forth aren't protected classes anywhere. That's why they can be banned by anyone, from any private property, for expressing those "beliefs".

Basically, if you think Parler was used to organize a murderous insurrection, you have to be for the investigation.House Oversight and Reform Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) is requesting that the FBI investigate Parler and the social media platform’s role in the deadly insurrection.
She also announced Thursday that her committee will look into Parler as part of a broader investigation of websites that may promote violence.
In a letter to the FBI she asked for the agency to examine Parler’s connections to the protest-turned-riot “including as a potential facilitator of planning and incitement related to the violence” and “as a repository of key evidence posted by users on its site.”
“Questions have also been raised about Parler’s financing and its ties to Russia, which the Intelligence Community has warned is continuing to use social media and other measures to sow discord in the United States and interfere with our democracy,” Maloney wrote in her letter to the FBI.
If you think Parler took Russian money to attack the election, you have to be for the investigation.
But as I said above, if you were for any/all of the lawsuits going after the election because of hearsay, conjecture and rumors, you have to be for this one too.
Sorry. I don't make the rules. I just see to it they're enforced. I admit, that "Parler took Russian money and attacked the election" angle was one I hadn't seen before. Kinda hope it's false. But if it isn't, man, are we going to see some epic handwaving from the rabid fanbase about colluding with Russia. Um...again.
