Finished watching Hilda Season 2 on Netflix, which was somehow better than the first one, pushing it right up into the unforgettable shows tier next to Gravity Falls. A blend of adventure and wholesomeness that was just what I needed.

I'd say as long as G5 has similar quality in characters, art, and animation it should do well, but this gen they have a FAR bigger fanbase than they did before G4 so there is likely to be some expectations that some fans have that 5 can never quite meet.

Welp, looks like the next movie is going to streaming platforms this year and likely won't be in theaters and will be CG. I'll likely buy it on DVD unless it's supposedly amazing.

Hot damn, I actually feel a little exhausted after writing today. I don't know if this book will be a Harry Potter or Game of Thrones, but I actually feel proud of this so far, and that's an EXTREME rarity for me.

Ehhhh. It doesn't make me want to gouge out my eyes like G3.5. It reminds me more of those barbie movies.

And...oh my goodness.


I can see why they think that'd sell merch, that's for sure.

I'd say my biggest worry is I don't know if the ridiculous cartoon faces that make MLP so fun to freeze frame will translate well into the 3D.

You darn beat me to it.

The movie looks like your usual Pixar kind of animation. Hitch looks the most plain, though it kind of looks like him and Sunshine might be siblings.

The animation for the show is likely to end up the usual 2D fun stuff like you posted. I look forward to it. Will this get me to get Netflix? Who knows, but I do hope it ends up better than the G4 movie. That one was basically pure average until the last 30 minutes and then it dipped pretty hard.
