Missed the undercard due to D&D, any good fights worth catching on replay?

Ex-Mod. Technically retired, they just won't let me quit.
Khabib never fought the same level of competition as Jones, nowhere close. Khabib wouldn't even fight GSP, they've tried making that fight for years and years.
Jones beat better fighters, more champions, and barely has ever lost a round. Outside of Guss, and Reyes, Jones looked unbeatable his entire fighting career. Khabib has been rocked, knocked down, lost rounds, almost lost fights, and has only fought at 155 even though he is 200+ walking around and could've easily gone up to 170 to fight better fighters, but he has always chosen not to.
And don't even get started with that Izzy shit. He fucking RAN from Romero their entire fight because he was fucking scared and lost that fight in many viewers eyes. Kelvin almost beat him, he's been knocked out before in kickboxing. He isn't ever gonna be the goat. A very good fighter, when he isn't afraid to fight, but never close to being the goat. Not even top 5.
Chandler is as advertised. He’s going to be a huge problem for this division. I really don’t know if he’s beating a guy like Khabib, but I promise you, this is not a fight Conor wants any part of.
His last three fights were McGregor, Poirer and Gaethje, so miss me with that "level of competition" argument. Lb for lb they've ranked up there back when the likes of Cormier were still around.
Also why would a lightweight take a fight against a middleweight.
As to the "Izzy shit" he did the job needed, took out Romero's legs. What did you expect he'd do, get close and trade shots? Man fights smart, and he knows how to pick his opponents off.
It's no different to how Mayweather spent the latter half of his career hitting and not getting hit in boxing. Gastelum almost beat him? Reyes almost beat Jones.
And really 80 kickboxing fights and you focus on the 1 ko? You're digging way too hard, dude has pretty much cleaned up a highly competitive middleweight division. There's not many fights left you can throw at him, Gastelum rematch at best.
He'll go up to LHW, that'll make or break his legacy.

That KO was brutal, considering he'd just taken a hard shot to the legs, he shrugged it off and kept going for the headshot. Hooker didn't have an answer to his aggression.

Poirer gets revenge, what a brutal offence.

I'm amazed McGregor just let Dustin take his leg out like that, it was such a mismatch of fight plans. Poirer executed flawlessly.

Dustin executed brilliantly, they crafted a good gameplan.
Conor never really checked kicks in his career which was more forgivable against orthodox fighters who risk hitting his knee with a shin (Which hurts the kicker more). They took away the movement and ability to shift weight on forward leg to land powerful blows, two of Conor's best weapons with one shot.
Conor is done, hunger isn't really there anymore.
LOL? What the fuck? Lightweigtht is the most stacked division while Light Heavyweight is the shallow one.
Khabib's resume is pretty much bulletproof at this point:
- Justin Gaethje: Former Interim Lightweight Champ
- Dustin Poirier: Former Interim Lightweight Champ
- Conor McGregor: Former Lightweight and Featherweight Champ
- Rafael Dos Anjos: Former Lightweight Champ
- His other notable wins: Edson Barboza, Al Iaquinta and Michael Johnson
He doesn't need to fight Tony Ferguson anymore, the only two guys I could see him fighting are Charles Oliveira or GSP if all stars align (I doubt Georges is coming back). I don't even like Khabib and I think he is one of the greatest because of how dominant he was, everybody knew what he is going to do and nobody could stop it.
Also give me a break, Khabib lost just 3 rounds (out of 31, LOL) in his last 10 fights in a stacked division. And I don't think he was ever knocked down, at least not in UFC.
Well, Izzy is smart and that's the difference.
What was he supposed to do? Run into Romero's powerful counter? He tried it once, got caught hard and adjusted a gameplan... The fight could have been entirely different if Romero wasn't scared of gassing out and went forward. He didn't because he had no idea how to enter Izzy's range safely, in the end we had two counter strikers waiting for each other with one of them putting money in the bank.
Sorry but it is evident you have no idea what you are talking about when you think a 1 KO loss in Kickboxing means you suck. He lost to Alex Pereira who is probably one of the best kickboxers right now (Who was TKOed twice in his kickboxing carreer by the way).

Welp. I’d been saying all day that Conor being so heavily favored was a joke(I think the lines closed at like -300 or something insane). Inactivity kills in MMA and you could see it. Conor always seems like he thinks he’s just gonna stand and box. He wasn’t checking those leg kicks. As long as you can take the punch and avoid letting the nerves get to you, Conor really is not that scary of a fighter.
It’ll be very interesting to see where they go now. Conor wants to fight like six or seven more times in the next two years. I doubt Khabib saw anything tonight that makes him want to come back(unless Chandler interests him). Dustin/Chandler for the title makes the most sense to me. Gaethje/Oliveira for #1 contender. I think they’ll try and find Conor an easier fight and let him rebuild. But man, Tony Ferg is sitting right there. That’d be a WAR.
Also his power doesn't translate well into Lightweight considering he never possessed a one shot KO power in Featherweight to begin with. I mean, he has a lot of KOs but they were either counters against charging opponents or fast combo consisting of multiple hits followed by ground and pound.
looool conor fucking sucks, hes a specialist in failure. he should go fight one of those youtube kids, someone more his level.
I just rewatched the fight again.
Conor should just retire, he doesn't have the fire anymore and the game ran past him already while he degraded a lot in my opinion. He used to be light on his feet and use a wide variety of kicks.
I know it is weird to say as he is a professional fighter, but he doesn't have the grit to fight on when hurt or tired. He always looks to either just survive or for a way out. Dustin blew his leg away and hurt him with nice counters, then he pressed him against the cage and unsleashed the barrage of strikes. What did Conor do? He stood there and slipped punches until he just couldn't, no attempt to move away (I get it, his leg was dead), clinch up or strike back to discourage him.
It is kind of sad to be honest but I guess karma is a bitch. Or is it? Considering how much money he made in the process.
Conor looked fired up on his return, showing new offence and a hunger over a year ago.
This guy last night wasn't close, forget Notorious, he wasn't even noteworthy. I feel like he came back to get a rematch with Khabib, and now that he isn't coming out of retirement, Conor has just lost the will to fight.

I like Overeem, but he should quit...not lacking skills, but can't take a hit..he has tons of achievs, belts n stuff..he was like, 15, when he was in Pride, he got nothing more to prove...he be stubborn...imagine the amount of hits he has taken over the decades...it adds up.
Like Volkov too but one can't judge his performance this time considering his opponent would turtle up just be going near him..
that Sandman guy, whoa that was some knee knock-out, outstanding!
Kamaru Usman is a bad man. I don’t know where he goes from here but there is NOBODY at welterweight that can bang with him. It’s at a point where he’s gonna have to start looking outside 170.
Just finished D&D in time for the 3 title fights, any highlights on the prelims you'd recommend?

This first round has been better than some recent headline fights.

Jesus fuck that was horrible, that's a stupid way to lose your title.

Credit to Sterling, he doesn't want the title after winning it that way.
That's a guy with pride.

Yan should be demoted and his coaches should be forbidden to ever attend an UFC event again
This fight won't take long
