A Capitol rioter texted his ex during the insurrection to call her a ‘moron,’ feds say. She turned him in.
She's having the last laugh.
Have we discussed the week the GOP's war on democracy? Probably - but here's more anyway.
Arizona is considering a law that would allow the legislature to decide the Electoral College slate of votes, "if needed". Salient points:
Ignoring, of course, that AZ already has laws in place to ensure an election cycle was handled correctly, including auditing. But wait, there's more:Under a new proposed amendment to the Arizona constitution, introduced by a Republican state senator, the legislature would meet in a special session the Monday after Election Day to "review or investigate, if needed" the results of the election, a provision some Republicans have said is needed after the November election.
Hey, that sounds like they don't want the people of their state to have a say. It sure as fucking does, doesn't it?Also under the proposed amendment, the legislature would have the authority to pick the state's presidential electors.
And we're seeing more of these kinds of bills being passed around the country, in "battleground" states with GOP dominate legislatures (thanks for Gerrymandering).

Man, if I walked off the job as much as Republicans Senators in Oregon, I wouldn't fuckin have one.
I guess that this time, at least, it doesn't appear that they're hiding out with a bunch of anti-government militias like they were previously.
It sure sounds like the GOP is trying to make Trump's conspiracy theories and unproven allegations (or, proven false allegations) actually have weight.
"It looks like the state went 52/48 D/R, but because someone tweeted in all caps, we'll give the Republicans the EC votes just to be sure. Anything else wouldn't be democracy!"
I'd love to see this same line of thinking used in other contexts.
"Sorry Mr. State Rep, we're taking your car back."
"What? I made all my payments!"
"Yeah, but, we didn't see you make the payments, it was all done electronically. There was no paper trail. Since some guy on the internet said scams like this happen a lot, we're just going to be careful and take your car back."
"But I have the receipt!"
"Clearly that was hacked. We heard that your bank owner went to Venezuela one time, so we can't trust it."
"But I--"
"Also we're suing you for proof of all your previous payments, too. If your previous payments don't match up, we'll declare those payments invalid and take the money again."
"None of this--"
"Also we have a video of someone taking a bunch of money and burying it in the forest. They claimed it was money you didn't pay us. Without reviewing the video we decided to believe it, so we'll need that money too."
"This is outrageous! Fine, I'll just pay you again."
"Oh, sorry, our early payment centers are all closed. You'll get your car back after you've paid in person. It'll be open in five weeks, hope you're okay spending hours in line. And bring some ID."
"My face is on every billboard!"
"Sorry, I don't make the rules. I just enforce them. Lift 'r up, Jeb!"
Considering Republicans are the party of sexism, racists, and homophobes, I don't know why you are saying this, other than you live an alternate reality.

Yep, some of these rioters have been having their histories released to public view. You hear about the one that stole Nancy Pelosi's laptop and tried to sell it to the Russians? Well, now her history has been revealed as well. She is a Nazi. https://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news...p-101541445903

When are we going to give Patriot, the same treatment “literally” got? There are around 75 million Americans that think it means both Patriot and it’s antonym... isn’t popular opinion what drives these changes? Sounds like dictionary needs to add...

They can't. The Oregon constitution requires a quorum of 20 senators (out of 30) to do business. The Democrats only hold 18 seats. So if none of the Republicans are there, no votes can happen.
The situation is the same in the House, where a quorum of 40 (out of 60) is needed and the Democrats have 37.

Fuck, change the rules. The GOP wouldn't even blink twice about doing that.
At some point, it's time to realize there isn't going to be any negotiating or reasoning with the party of conspiracies, fascism and terrorism. Hopefully before someone slightly smarter than Trump takes over.
Remember how after 2016 election, a lot of people were talking about LA and NY folks needing to move to conservative states, because the liberal vote is over saturated. I think it’s kinda funny that by 2021, conservatives are celebrating all of these liberal corporations moving to conservative states.
I am not saying the two are in any way connected... just couple of independent thoughts, that work funny together.
