I've only had dogs. Dogs are awesome, especially when you take the time to actually train them...some people don't deserve dogs.

My only interactions with cats as pets has through friends and a neighbor's cat that adopted me I guess. They were alright. I don't think a lot people actually know how to train cats and you end up with the ones who kind of just live in the house with you and do whatever you want.

I prefer dogs but wouldn't be opposed to having a cat. Had a schnauzer that was kind of cat like.

Larger breeds of cats? Hell yeah, sign me up. If I have to have a dog though, let it be a big one. Pets are what they are, some turn out to be unusually pleasant and some that you expect to like turn out to be jerks. Overall, I prefer cats to dogs for reasons mentioned a bit further back. Among dogs though, bull mastiffs and such can be a bit of fun just by their sheer size letting them play around in a way other pets cannot, but I've seldom found a small dog that could manage better than "OK, I will tolerate it for the sake of indulging the owner".
With COVID-19 making its impact on our lives, I have decided that I shall hang in there for my remaining days, skip some meals, try to get children to experiment with making henna patterns on their skin, and plant some trees. You know -- live, fast, dye young, and leave a pretty copse. I feel like I may not have that quite right.

Dogs, easily, for many reasons. Dogs are loyal, smart, can be trained to do just about everything from an emotional support dog to being in the fucking marines, you can play with them, and they actually care about you.

Whereas cats are just selfish little assholes that will knock over shit for no reason and they don't give a shit about you unless you have food. On a more serious note I'm allergic to them so even if I wanted a cat I couldn't own one.

    Dogs rule.

Except I'm being serious I've had meat pie with rabbit and pheasant. Still have a few lucky rabbit paws somewhere.

It’s like walking up to a group of people (IRL) talking about their pet rabbits, and you saying, “I enjoy rabbit stew!”. You wouldn’t do that, I’m sure, but you did it here for obvious reasons.
People have cows for pets too and we eat them, it was a joke so meh lol.

I mean I have eaten them, but it was in jest since most people would consider rabbits food for other animals like most rodents tend to be.

I've eaten them too, it was still an obnoxious thing to say to someone who has one as a pet.

Fair enough, I don't have a filter and say shit like that irl too it is fine. I have a twisted sense of humor sometimes.

You're not the first person that has tried to troll me about having rabbits as pets by talking about enjoying eating them. I know you think you're being cute but it honestly just comes off as sociopathic. I'm not impressed, sport.

How many cables have you sacrificed to the overlords? I think it took three headsets until I finally went wireless.

I have a former student who works with big cats and from time to time posts videos "out with the kitties". I admit, I have severe envy. I got to hold the front half (it was a big enough adolescent that it was bigger than I was) of a young tiger and I still remember it vividly more than 30 years later.
